The staff is great, it's close to the beach, it's relaxed and chill... Perfect for people who just want to hang out, meet cool people and chill in a hammock with a caipirinha!

Certainly, the best features of this hostel are friendly and the atmosphere. The location is great: near the beach and easy transportation to other neighborhoods in Florianópolis. Moreover, who wants to enjoy the night can has the breakfast until noon.

Really welcoming The guys at Portunhol really make you fell like you are at home and the set up is ideal for socialising. You'll meet some cool dudes from all over the world and it's literally a short walk from the beach. It rained the whole weekend I was there, but I still had a great time drinking Caipirinhas and eating good home cooked BBQ food. — Hayley , British (2007-11-14)
