Times Square Dream Hostel Reviews from the Web
5 Liked: Honestly I was very impressed with everything. It completely surpassed my expectations. It felt more like a flat than a hostel, as there are only two rooms with 4 beds in each & a communal dinning and sitting room. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained, the lady who runs the place is really nice & very helpful. The location was perfect for me too, as it's very central.  Disliked: No dislikes.  — Sean Doohan (2013-04-07) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: really good central location (only 2 blocks from times square) so really easy to go sight seeing.  Disliked: only one bathroom for 3 bedrooms and more of an apartment than a hostel so hard to meet people.oven and stove did not work so unable to cook apart from microwave which was frustrating  — Customer review (2013-03-05) Hostelbookers
5 Liked: I stayed with my husband in this hostel for 4 days and it was a very good experience. The hostel is an apartment and not a hostel as we know, so the place is very quiet (not appropriated for people who wants to meet other people and enjoy the space). It is close to the Times Square, where you have all you need. The facilities are simple, but clean and confortable. The person who helps the clients is very supportive. I recommend this place if what you want is just a bed in a good location in NY.  Disliked: There is no elevator and no breakfast in the morning  — FERNANDA Rosa (2013-02-13) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: nice clean rooms use of a kitchen (microwave and fridge) right in the center of manhattan  Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.  — Customer review (2013-02-13) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: perfect location next to times square, good and relaxed atmosphere in apartment, very clean, would recommend it to everybody  Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.  — Customer review (2013-02-08) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: Just like all of the past comments on trip adviser for this place, it is more like an apartment but at the price of a hostel which is an absolute bargain! We rarely saw anyone else Sonora was great for my partner and i and while we had the room next to the road it seemed like it was noisy but we ha amazon sleeps in that room. I don't know why it was just the best sleep I've had in a long time. Brilliant location!!!! Just make sure you have your American dollars with you when checking in to pay for your stay as we didn't and the ATM downstairs at the corner store was a rip off in extra fees.  Disliked: See above comment  — Belinda Dalton (2013-01-23) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: Very warm & cozy in winter. The kitchen and common space was a plus to have and chat with other guests in passing.  Disliked: If would be nice to know what time periods hot water runs for the shower, and also the sliding door with the lock on it seemed weak.  — Customer review (2013-01-22) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: Fantastic location!  Disliked: Noise from the street  — Nicolai Skafte (2013-01-16) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: i liked staying there, very close to everything tho the other people who were staying at the hostel were very loud at night i was woken up at 6:00pm because visitors from the other guest where sleeping in the hall way. but that not really the hostel's fault other then that it was a great stay i would go back to stay there any time :)  Disliked: also i hated waiting till 11:30 to check in when we arrived at 4:00 am waiting around the city with are bags!!!!!!!! they should open earlier!!!  — danielle zunenshine (2013-01-09) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: Good sized room, clean and fabulous location. Good value for money.  Disliked: joanna left no negative feedback.  — joanna Farrell (2012-12-08) Hostelbookers
3 Liked: Clean, location, met some friendly travelers  Disliked: Kitchen limited to only microwave, router for pc/wifi not working Cold  — Customer review (2012-12-02) Hostelbookers
5 Liked: Stayed here for Thanksgiving. It was nice, quiet, and pretty relaxing- the beds were actually pretty comfortable too. The location was great (two blocks from times square) and seemed pretty safe. The manager was also nice and very helpful. I've never stayed in a hostel in NY before but this was really enjoyable.  Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.  — Customer review (2012-11-25) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: very suitable location  Disliked: as the rooms had not been painted for years they need some renovation- it would give much better impression  — Customer review (2012-11-15) Hostelbookers
3 Liked: GREAT LOCATION, only 2 blocks from Time Square. Close to public transport, lots of entertainment nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful.  Disliked: Was an old apartment, stairs old and difficult to get up/down with luggage (although staff helped) Was expensive for what it was, but I think it's in line with other accommodation in NYC. Not a social hostel.  — Jodie Villiers (2012-10-08) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: The location was fantastic, 10 mins walk from Times square and very close to the Hell´s Kitchen area with lots of restaurants and bars on the doorstep.  Disliked: There was only one bathroom and the shower didn´t work very well in that the pressure of the water was very low so it felt like having a rain water shower. Also the bath tub really needs replacing.  — Celine Hadrysiak (2012-10-05) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: super located to timesquare and the center.  Disliked: its a little private. you don't meet many people  — Eric Meyer (2012-09-13) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: Enjoyed staying there  Disliked: PETER left no negative feedback.  — PETER AMEYE (2012-09-04) Hostelbookers
5 Liked: The location is great--it's w/i walking distance of all major NYC attractions and super convenient.  Disliked: I wish that the tissue paper and airconditioning could be provided in the pu blic areas. And the computer should be upgraded.  — Iping Liang (2012-09-04) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: Location  Disliked: Kitchen not really a kitchen. There's a fridge and a microwave. No utensils (fork, spoon, knife) and 2 bowls and plates. I felt safe in the room, but I would appreciate real door knobs on the doors. Instead it's just a lock like you would have on a locker and from the inside, it's just the chain...  — Customer review (2012-08-16) Hostelbookers
4 Liked: Great location, and facility itself was well maintained. Staff is not at the location but is one block away; very helpful and accessible by phone call if needed.  Disliked: Street noise took a bit of time to get used to; ear plugs would be helpful but not necessary or essential, IMO.  — Customer review (2012-08-02) Hostelbookers
Hostelz.com Guest Reviews
3   Good location, comfortable The location is definitely the best advantage, many restaurants along the street (9th avenue). The laundry machines were out of service, the apartment is on the 3rd floor without elevator. Comfy bed anyway.  , France ()
3   For the week of June 27, 2010 The pictures are an O.K. representation of the place. It is clean walk-up "railroad" apartment in Hell's Kitchen. No printer available. The washer dryer was out of service. No security other than lock and key. No 24 hour on-site hostel manager. No security lockers in the bedroom, that I saw. If you are a single female, know that mixed dorm means you may be sharing a bunk bed with a male stranger. I didn't see a Certificate of Authority to collect occupancy tax from NYC posted. That and insistence on cash makes me wonder whether this a legit business???  , US ()
