Hostelz.com Guest Reviews

Yet another hostel full of locals and ignorant what foreigners want The hostel is indeed difficult to find. Call them to give you or your taxi driver directions. As in most YH nowadays, most guests are Chinese, which often results in unwelcome (read: disgusting) noises in the morning (they can't live without hawking and spitting apparently). Ths YH, like so many others, definitely doesn't have an 'international atmosphere'. Also, family members (?) or other locals can be seen in the courtyard taking up the available chairs and crowding out genuine tourists. The YH sells drinks, but the fridge isn't turned on. Anyone another warm beer or Coke? The lockers in the rooms were all unavailable, which the staff seemed to find normal. Everything valuable was supposed to be stored behind the counter. Very inconvenient. Not everyone as a bed light and the rooms and common area not mosquito-free, nor are mosquito coils used. — Philip , living in China (2010-06-15)
