The Hostelz.com Review
This is a brand-new and wonderful hostel in the heart of Madrid, a very laid back place with great people. It's easy to tell that backpackers own and run this place, because they understand the needs of the backpacker, and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

The Location

This hostel has to be in the best location in in the city. Coming from either the airport or the train station it is a snap to hop on the metro to the center of the city, Puerta del Sol, and San Jordi is just a few steps away from the metro stop. All of the major attractions are within walking distance or an easy ride on the metro, and it is surrounded by restaurants, shops, and clubs. It is truly in the heart of the city, and with that comes the noise of late-night partying Madrid.

Rooms and Bathrooms

This place is immaculate. Everything is brand new and squeaky clean. The beds are incredibly comfortable, clean sheets and blankets, and everyone has their own key to the rooms. There weren't any lockers, but people seem to watch out for each other here. The bathrooms are clean and spacious.

Common Spaces

They have 4 computers with free internet, and it's a great little area to chat with other people. There's also a well-stocked kitchen and a nice TV/lounge area where people hang out to relax. This is a great hostel to meet people, since everyone is so friendly and ready to go out and enjoy the amazing nightlife of Madrid. The atmosphere is very intimate, and it feels as if you're staying at a friend's house. The staff is so helpful and great about recommending places to eat, clubs, etc.

Summary

This is a wonderful hostel and the best place to stay in Madrid.

5 Home away from home.
This is not a hostel, more like an apartment. I had been traveling for two months when i arrived at Sant Jordi, expectations of just another hostel were on my mind. However i was completely wrong. This was by far the best hostel i stayed at during my travels. Great staff, comfortable and clean beds, and a friendly environment to help anyone settle into their adventures. I think i'll definitely be going back!
