The word paradise was invented to describe Orsman's Bay Lodge. Built on the beachfront, surrounded by palm trees and crystal clear waters, it has to be one of the prettiest places in the world. A band of welcome singers -- bearing refreshing glasses of fruit juice and smiles -- waits to greet every guest. Once you step onto the island you are on "Bula Time" -- there is no rush, no hassle, just relaxation.
The long, thin dorm houses around sixteen beds, each with their own fly net. For those with more cash to spare, you can rent a private bure. The bathroom facilities are clean but limited, and like most hostels in Fiji they have cold water showers. Probably most spectacular are the common areas -- beautiful gardens, long white sandy beaches, and covered bure areas away from the sun.
But beware -- this hostel exepts no cash, only credit cards. Try to set up a tab when you first arrive so you don't get charged for each transaction. It's slightly more pricey than other hostels in the Yasawa islands but well worth the money for a little touch of paradise.
