The Location
You can take a Petite Taxi to the hostel -- arrange the fare ahead of time or ensure they use the meter. To walk to the hostel from the Rabat Ville Train Station, exit the train station either left or right and walk straight until you exit the city wall. Turn right onto Ave ibn Toumerte. Continue straight until you reach the hostel which is located on the left hand side of the street. The walk should take ten to fifteen minutes.
Rooms and Bathrooms
There are four total rooms in this hostel. There are two female rooms which each consist of eight sets of bunk beds. There is one smaller male room inside the main male room. The larger room has seven sets of bunk beds while the smaller room only has three sets of bunk beds. There are no mixed rooms available in this hostel. We would recommend bringing sheets, a pillowcase, or a sleeping bag. There are mattress and pillow protectors on the beds but no sheets. The blankets are not changed or washed between travelers.
There are approximately three shower stalls and three toilets in each bathroom which are segregated also. Toilet paper is not provided, so please bring your own. The bathrooms are not throughly cleaned -- for instance, the rubbish in the female bathroom was not emptied our entire stay. The bathroom does not get crowded due to the very few travelers staying in this hostel. There is no hot water at this establishment! There are hooks in the bathrooms to hang your clothes or towel.
Common Spaces
The common area is the Court Yard where you are more than welcome to sleep under the stars. If this sounds appealing, bring insect repellent. There are no lockers provided for usage. The hostel staff will keep your valuables for you behind the reception desk -- in turn you are given a receipt noting the contents.
