* Our location is in the centre of the shopping and party zone of Istanbul. That means that on weekend nights (sometimes during the week) it can get loud and noisy outside. Just in case, have a pair of earplugs and sleeping masks with you, or just ask at the reception for one.

* Please note that our lovely double rooms are for couples or single crazy sleepers. They have one beautiful double bed, not two single beds.

* If you are not a social person and if you don’t enjoy making new friends from all over the world, do not book our place. Contact us and we will help you to find a place that suits you more. The ChillOut chain has 5 hostels in Istanbul; surely we will find a good place for you.

* Our reception is open 24/7. If anything bothers you during your stay, any question, help or any problems you may have, do not hesitate to come to the front desk. Please tell us!

* No sleeping bags are allowed in the rooms. We provide you with clean and fresh linen and sheets. Bed bugs are not a myth, they are really out there, and sleeping bags provide them a perfect habitat and hop on – hop off transport.

* No Smoking is allowed anywhere inside the hostel. Oh and ...

Location	•From Ataturk airport: • The Havas shuttle bus will take you to Taksim for 10TYL. The last departure is at 1:00 in the morning. From Taksim, follow the directions below. • • From Sabiha Gokçen airport: • The Havas shuttle bus will take you to Taksim for 13TYL. From Taksim, follow the directions below. • • From the train station: • There is a tram line directly in front of the train station. Buy a token (1.75TYL) at one of the food kiosks and board the tram going to the Right towards KABATAS. Ride it to the end of the line. When you get off at KABATAS follow the signs across the street to the Funicular and go underground. Buy another token (1.75TYL) and ride the funicular to Taksim Square, then follow the directions below. • • From Taksim Square: • 1) Directly in front of the stairway exiting the Funicular you will see a small grassy park with a monument in the center. Cross the street towards the monument, and then follow the tram lines to the LEFT towards the Burger King that sits on ISTIKLAL Street. (Istiklal is a large and busy shopping street that is usually packed with pedestrians at almost any time of day or night.) • 2) Walk down ISTIKLAL for approximately 5 minutes until you arrive at the mall Demiroren (big white shopping center) at ATIF YILMAZ. • 3) Turn RIGHT onto ATIF YILMAZ and walk approximately 1 minute until the road forks. • 4) At the fork in the road turn a sharp LEFT onto HALAS. You will see our sign hanging above your head at Number 3. Ring the bell and come on in!

The hostel has really nice people, it is really well located and really relaxed. It is a little unorganized, with documents and payment. Theres an awful control of people who comes in and out of the hostel, which I thought was a little problematic. At night the person who was suppose to be at the reception were always sleeping. For the price I think is really good business. I had a really great time with the people there, and the fun factor is really high! The localization is perfect for who wants to go out a lot, because it is in the middle of the nightlife of Istanbul. We picked this place because we were looking for a social, colorful, fun hostel, and because we wanted to meet other travelers, share stories, and meet Istanbul. Chill Out was not only full of other amazing travelers looking for the same thing, but the staff was also fun, friendly, and not afraid of a good time. The location is super convenient and fun, the free tea is a god-send, and the beds were comfortable and clean, and the common rooms and kitchens were always good for conversation and relaxation. A hostel is as good as your attitude will let it be, but this hostel pulled my friends and I out of a attitude slump and into the best part of our trip. This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Not only was it cool, cheap, and in a convenient/hoppin part of town, the STAFF were absolutely amazing. They live in the hostel with you like friends/family. They are always around to chat or help you out with something-- and they were great for recommending good places to eat, good bars, things to do in Istanbul. Our last night, they took us out and bought us all a number of beers and made sure we were having a good time. Ivan, Ibrahim, to name a few of the round-the-clock staff--great guys. Great stay. Would recommend it to anyone looking to engage with people or have a "real" experience in Istanbul. Plus-- you get sheets and a comforter FREE, without having to make a deposit.
