The Hostelz.com Review
There is free booze at Green Studio Hostel! This is a party hostel, a great place to meet like minded people to go and hit the town with, although every night (and day really) starts with free drinks in the hostel. Beer and a local hard liquor are provided and people often stay here longer than intended. There is even a facebook group dedicated to it!
The Location
The location can't be beat for its proximity to the bus station and rail station, which is fabulous for late night arrivals. Just steps away from both, the huge grey-and-red Citroen sign can be seen from the park behind the bus station and that's it -- once you find that you are there. Just walk to it and there's a well signed door to the right. There is also a grocery store right on the corner!
Rooms and Bathrooms
There are two large dorm rooms, relatively separated into girls and boys, and one smaller one that costs more. They get incredibly hot and are mosquito-ridden -- we counted more than ten bites on one of our arms! Once the clubs in the area get started it's thumping till the wee hours in the dorms, so bring earplugs!
The bathrooms are one of the least tidy places in this hostel -- two tiny toilets are just off the common area, but they have no locks. There is one shower in a larger bathroom close to the dorm rooms and thankfully this one comes with a lock and is reasonably large and clean. There are lockers available with locks and keys close to the common areas, but not in rooms.
Common Spaces
There is one common area -- a large, open-floor plan of kitchen/TV room/computer stations with a nook style kitchen (for warming up food, not making a three-course meal!). It is set up for socializing, meeting folks, and drinking games. This place is smoky as it is the norm for backpackers to smoke in the common areas. There is a new AC fan unit that helps relieve the heat in the common areas, and the music's always playing. There is also free laundry and two computers with internet and free Wi-Fi.
Summary
If you want free alcohol and to party with fun new friends from morning to night, then this is the place for you! It's close to transportation, and they're helpful with maps and where to go dancing and partying. The Green Studio will give you an experience you won't soon forget!

Great place! Its great place in great city! When i read review i liked the location but i was worried about noise and cleanliness. But its much better than description. Now they have air conditioners in each dorm and toilets could lock, and were very clean, considering that's a hostel after all. But the best part of this hostel is common room and great atmosphere there, with other guests and staff always smiling and being ready to answer any question. Its on the 5 and 6 floor which is giving special roof top atmosphere, but don't worry there is also big elevator in the building. Great place! — Nikolay , Rusia (2010-01-04)
