The Hostelz.com Review
Frolic Goats Hostel is a good choice in Poznan for a weary backpacker. With a wonderful location right in the center of the city, you'll never be far away from either sightseeing, high culture, club hopping, or pub crawling. Its cozy atmosphere promotes socializing, and full breakfast (not the standard toast and jam) definitely won't leave you hungry.
The Location
The hostel is located in the old town -- just two minutes from the Old Town Square -- housed in an old building with a wooden staircase with creaky floorboards. Here you are only a short walk away from the renaissance city hall or the famous Brovaria restaurant. To get here from the central train station you need to take a tram number 5 until "Wroclawska" stop.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Dorms are immaculately clean and give a very homely impression. A combination of an old-style tenement house and slightly-nicer-than-Ikea furnishings gives a very pleasant feel to the place. Each room comes with spacious lockers, the bunk beds are solid and squeak free, and the rooms are pleasantly warm. Bathrooms are plentiful, and intelligently designed. There are private shower cabins (with privacy doors), so more than one person can use the bathroom at once. Marble floor tiles and ceramic fittings would fit nicely in a four-star hotel.
Common Spaces
There isn't much common space in the hostel. One room in all -- a combination of an open kitchen; dining room; and a salon with a TV, sofas, and chairs. It's cozy, but would have problems housing a large group of guests wanting to get together. The kitchen isn't very well equipped. It primarily suffers from lack of cooking surfaces -- two burners just aren't enough.]
Summary
When in Poznan, visit this hostel for a memorable and a pleasant visit.

Lovely! We stayed here in Sept. '07, and our first impressions were of how clean it was. We were a little unsure about the private room being right next to the reception desk, but the staff were good at enforcing quiet while the room was occupied so it wasn't a problem (and I can honestly say the bed was the comfiest I've ever experienced in any hostel). The staff were second-to-none -- helpful and kind, they really went beyond the call of duty. Their efforts have paid off -- this really is a cosy little hostel in a lovely town. — CAROLINE , UK (2007-10-29)

One of the best hostels in Poland! I must say that it's the cleanest and most friendly hostel I've been to. Perfect location. Poznan is beautiful and fascinating city. I will come back. — Chriss , UK (2007-09-20)
