Tranquil, relaxing, invigorating, inspiring, friendly. I came to Hangzhou because I kept hearing about the West Lake and all of the beauty that surrounded it. When I arrived at 4 eyes, I immediately felt like this was the part of Hangzhou that people talked about when they spoke of how special it was. Here, you are outside of the city, nestled at the foot of a mountain, just a short walking distance from the southwestern part of the lake. It is in an area that has been kept well preserved and offers the most beautiful scenery around the lake. Additionally, there are numerous hiking trails through the various mountains that surround the hostel. Last but certainly not least, the food here is delicious. It's great Chinese food, but the chefs really know how to make it to suit my western palate!
