This lovely rural retreat in the pretty village of Rowen is ideal for exploring the hills, mountains and coastline on a walking holiday. A traditional Welsh hill farmhouse, it’s packed with character and the real fires make it really cosy in the winter. The hostel has breathtaking views over the Conwy Valley and across to Snowdonia. There's a small amount of camping available on site.

• Go into the village and past the TyGwyn pub on your right. Take the second road on the right by the brown hostel sign. Follow this steep road up the hill. The hostel is on the left at very end of the tarmac road before it turns into a track.
