It doesn't live up to what you expect from the guide book (Footprint, Third edition). We understand that this is because it has changed hands. The new management is not welcoming. The prices have gone up (to seventy pesos for a double, although we were told the normal rate was one hundred pesos) and it is room only -- no kitchen facilities, no dining room, the garden is untidy, and the pool is empty. On the plus side, the rooms have been renovated tastefully and the beds are very comfortable. But the floors are filthy and the shower does not drain. The owner's attitude was not welcoming. We had been told by the staff when we arrived that use of the kitchen was allowed. But after we bought food to cook, the owner told us that there was no gas and even if there had been, use of the kitchen was not allowed. When complained to the owner about the misleading description and the information we had been given (including by her staff) she did not appear to care.

This is a cool place to drop in for a few days. Good rooms and showers.

This is a realy nice hostel, or posada, where I felt better than at home. It's very small and the manager is very friendly.
