East Coast Adventure Centre has been delivering teambuilding and Adventure in Ireland and Northern Ireland now for over 20 years
With our mountain centre nestled in the Mourne Mountains and our water sports centres on the shores of Carlingford Lough in Warrenpoint and Carlingford Harbour, East Coast Adventure provides the perfect setting for any adventure in Ireland or team building experience.
With 40 superb outdoor adventure and team building activities, top quality food and accommodation and over 20 year experience delivering outdoor adventure and team building programmes, it’s not hard to see why East Coast Adventure is regarded as Ireland’s premier and team building Adventure Centre.

Our Mountain Centre “Knockbarragh” in the Mourne Mountains just 3 miles outside the quiet village of Rostrevor caters for groups looking for a secluded, safe environment to experience the great outdoors. Within 30 minutes drive from Knockbarragh, East Coast Adventure Centre has access to Kilbroney, Tollymore and Castlewellan Forest parks, not to mention the Castlewellan Lake, Strangford Lough, Newry Canal and Carlingford Lough, providing us with a wealth of raw materials and natural resources.
The Mountain Adventure Centre “Knockbarragh” our new purpose built facility, boasts over 70 beds under one roof, camping for 40 people, 2 common rooms, a BBQ area, balcony, games barn and 5-aside football pitch. Knockbarragh is also equipped a dedicated office for leaders to stay in touch with the outside world, complete with wireless internet access, PC and printer. All our adventure programmes are fully catered with 4 meals a day. Bed linen, duvets and pillows are also provided for all residential visits.
A short drive from Knockbarragh takes you to our water sports headquarters in Warrenpoint, the birth place of East Coast Adventure Centre, locally known as “Warrenpoint Baths”. From here groups can enjoy a whole host of adventure on Carlingford Lough, from kayaking, Banana Boating, Jet Skiing, Pier Jumping and canoeing to name just a few. The baths is also equipped with changing rooms, showers, stores and private patio area, not to mention the large salt water swimming pool, one of the last remaining in Northern Ireland.
The Mourne Mountains offer us great opportunities for Rock-climbing in Northern Ireland. Not to mention Abseiling, Hill walking, Bouldering, orienteering and scrambling. From gentle waters of the Blue Lough, to the high point of Northern Ireland, Slieve Donard, the Mourne Mountains have it all.
A quick paddle across the Carlingford Lough takes you to our Carlingford Adventure Centre at Carlingford Sailing Club, specialising in large day groups such as transition year adventure trips, youth clubs, GAISCE and school tours. We also work closely with the Foy Centre to provide top quality budget accommodation and catering.
Stag and Hen groups in Carlingford can enjoy many different activities with East Coast Adventure centre Carlingford, from kayaking and banana boating to Rock Climbing and archery. Carlingford adventure activities are sure to put a smile on your face. Mobile Team Adventure Unit
In addition to our main activity centres, we can also come to you with our mobile team adventure unit. Depending on your location we can provide kayaking, canoeing, team building, banana boating, power boating, Jet Skiing and archery, bringing the adventure to your doorstep.

• Since East Coast Adventure was founded in the early ninety's, it has gone from strength to strength. Our philosophy is simple. Good food, the best staff and non-stop adventure in a comfortable safe environment.
• Where we are
• Based in the Mountains of Mourne on the shores of Carlingford Lough, East Coast Adventure has the perfect backdrop for an action packed trip. Our purpose built facility sits on the side of a mountain 3 miles outside the village of Rostrevor. Rostrevor is conveniently situated 60 minutes from Dublin airport and 50 minutes from Belfast.
• The Centre
• The centre can sleep up to 75 people and all residential programmes are fully catered. The centre can be split into two self-sufficient levels making it easy to split groups up if necessary. We are equipped with TV, DVD, VCR and wireless broadband. Groups have 24-hour access to tea, coffee and snacks.
• Supervision
• Outside session time East Coast Adventure offers a Duty Instructor Service. The Duty Instructor stays in the centre 24 hours and will assist group leaders in everything from getting the group up in the morning to organising bags onto the bus at the end of your stay. The duty instructor is also responsible for security and maintaining a safe environment for your stay.
