The Hostelz.com Review
The Ningaloo club reminds more if a budget resort than a hostel. It is very big, with it's own bar (called "The Manta Bar"), a nice pool, and a huge sitting area where the pool table and the ping-pong table are also located. It has a big screen TV tunned on the music channel all the time. It has BBQ, laundry (plus laundry lines at the back), and internet access.

The building looks new and is in very good condition. The rooms are big, and vary with the amount of beds in them (from 4 to 10). You can also choose from rooms without air-condition or with it.

The reception is a good place to start looking for information about the various tours offered in Coral Bay. Tuesday and Friday are the movie evenings. As a whole, this is a very good place to spend the evenings, after coming back from the beach.

Finding any place in Coral Bay is not a hard task, and the same goes with Ningaloo Club. Coral Bay has only one street, so you can't go wrong here. The Ningaloo club is on the begining of that street (called Robinson street), on the side closer to the entrance / exit of the town. You can see it by looking right just as you enter Coral Bay.

4 Good, but very expensive apartments.
We stayed in the Ningaloo Club for five nights in July 2008. We wanted to stay here in the school holidays, which meant that we were paying $160 a night for our little room. (Room was excellent, we had a small kitchen, TV, and en-suite.) We had to stay for five nights because of the intermittent Greyhound buses, so watch out for prices. We also had to stay in these expensive rooms as we were told there was nothing else. The first night we paid a little more and had a room on the top floor, with a lovely balcony. Second day, we had to switch rooms, so left our luggage in the reception. The reception staff were polite, but certainly not overly friendly. There is only one place to stay in Coral Bay, and I think they know it! Had a lovely stay in Coral Bay, but it was an expensive one.

2 Charm of a correctional facility
The true beauty of Coral Bay (a must for snorkeling!) made up for this rather bleak hostel, with its charm of a correctional facility. Bare to the bone rooms that are neither clean nor inviting to sleep in, unless you've done time in the pen. Read somewhere that the hostel prided itself for its cleanliness -- I must have missed something, or it was just a really bad time to check in there as it was rather busy. If Coral Bay is what you are after, this is an ok place to crash for a night. Don't miss sunset up at serenes' Jake's place, the town's own pet cemetery, situated on top a hill overlooking the bay.

4 First of all, Coral Bay is a great place to visit -- the bay is stunning and the beach beautiful. I thought the hostel was pretty good. The atmosphere in the bar was lively and the having the pool and outdoor bbq's made it more like a backpacker resort. Yeah, the hostel is not sometimes as clean as it could be, the kitchen is really small, and it is the only hostel in Coral Bay. But if it was a choice between going to Coral Bay again and staying at this hostel, or not going to Coral Bay, I would jump at the chance to stay here again!

3 If you want to stay in Coral Bay -- which is a beautiful relaxing place -- you won't have too much choice but to stay here. All the facilities are fine but the bar is very noisy until late in the night and it is a little pricey. It just seems a shame to me that what could be a lovely haven is actually just like any other party backpacker, bar-driven place.
Comment by Suzannah Great location shame about the hostel

2 We arrived in Coral Bay and stumbled across this hostel and checked in to stay for one night to begin with. The price was quite a lot for a double room which was very basic. The only good thing about the room was that there was virtually nowhere for any nasties to hide so in that respect we were ok. The bed was fine, sheets included, but the floor was filthy. I always presume that when you check into a room it will have been cleaned from the previous occupants. This room had not been cleaned for ages and I was loathe to put my bags on the floor. The floor needed a damn good vacum, with nail clippings all over it and general grime spread everywhere. It took three attempts to get through to the receptionist, even with me offering to clean the room myself, that the room was not clean. Eventually a vacum entered the room and the nail clippings for the most part disappeared, but for the money it was not good enough perhaps they should invest in a new vacum cleaner or someone who can operate the bloody thing!

5 I have annually visited this hostel from the week it opened. When the kitchens are properly cleaned it's the best deal for a thousand kilometres around. You should see what slums were on offer before this was built. Now what: a swimming pool, a bar, movies, air-conditioning...all in the nearest place to paradise that a sinner'll find in this life. You should be thankful you found Coral Bay at all. Stay a while. Soon it will all be history. The word is out that it's a good place to be. Downside? Busloads of inconsiderate drunken adolescent English at pre-booked intervals who don't stay long enough to realise why they are there at all and just foul up the kitchen.

4 The facilities are good, the staff are helpful, the beds are comfy and it's a clean place. Can't complain about anything in this place except the size of the roaches and moths.

5 Total paradise. I loved it so much I stayed a month — how, you ask? You can work two hours a day at the backpackers doing odd jobs to pay for your room. The staff were great and I made some great friends there. Coral Bay itself is heaven, with beautiful beaches and plenty of things to do. The only downer is the poor range and high price of food at the supermarket — thank God for the bakery!

4 I thought the place was great. The staff are really helpful, but depending on who is working that day the place doesn't have much atmosphere. My friends also told me fresh veggies and herbs were available. Where did they go!!

5 I stayed here for four nights, left, and came back for four more. What a helpful, friendly place, and what a special place to visit.

1 Coral Bay itself is really nice; however, the staff at the Ningaloo Club are very rude and unhelpful. I think it's because this is the only place to stay here, so they're not too bothered!! I wouldn't stay here for longer than three days!!
