Very peaceful and beautiful was slightly difficult to find -- not the street, but we walked past the hostel as it is a door in a wall. the hostel is a converted monastery type. It is a building set around a courtyard which is grassed and some trees for shade There are plenty of dorms but we phoned ahead and got a double room en-suite. There was no double bed as the room didn't allow -- but two singles (beware if taking this room as it is below the bell tower -- which strikes each hour all night). The breakfast was poor -- coffe/tea (from a flask) and plastic wrapped buns also there was no evening meal -- but close to a very good supermarket, so we made a good tuna salad from our purchase. there is also a pizza place across the road. The hostel don't mind you eating your own purchase; and there is the lovely cloisters to sit under. Reggio is a lovely place and I would love to go back. — keely williams , england (2009-02-14)
