Good place for the old city and the staff was very helpfull to organize our trekking on the tiger leaping gorge. Our double room was clean for our bed but there was always water on the flour of our bathroom from the sink broken pipes. Finally, to sleep latein the morning this hostel is not a good option because there is a rooster in the backyard!!!!!

Great place for the old city although can be alittle difficult to find at first. This part of town is pedestrian only so taxi's won't take you there! Rooms were fair enough and bathrooms clean, staff were very friendly and very helpful booking plane tickets and trips to the gorge etc.

Nice traditional architecture, brilliant location, friendly staff and a good communal room and good garden area. However, in compariosn to other hostels, the rooms could have been cleaner (bathroom smelled a little mouldy, carpet was dusty and sheets were washed but had some discolouring) and having carpet in the room was probably not helping matters.

The building was nice and the staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. However, they didn't want to give me general info about Tiger Leaping Gorge but only to tell me about their tour. AlsoThe map and info about biking to Baisha were not very helpful.

- the lounge - a place where you can either meet people or just be allowed to do your own thing. - friendly, helpful staff.- free internet accessthings to improve on:- - drier and cleaner towels? Those given to us were damp!- while direction to hostel from Old City Police Post was good, direction from YuHe Square can be better. Maybe a better map?

Loved everything about it. Quaint little inn with romanticized old school Chinese styling and courtyard. The staff is remarkably friendly and helpful. You can even have a homecooked dinner with them and the doggies, like you are really a part of a local family. Very authentic and warm experience. I would highly recommend to anyone.

The courtyard and lobby area are comfortable and welcoming. The private rooms without bathroom are surprisingly nicer and cozier than those with attached baths.

Fantastic location off a quiet alley in the middle of old town and super easy access from taxi drop-off point. Rooms are great, squeaky clean with heated beds and wi-fi. Super friendly staff. Quiet for old town.

The reception desk was part of the only common room - the only other common areas were outside or partly covered corridors, so not the easiest to relax.

The architecture was beautiful and the location an absolute peach. Staff were awesome and everything we needed was sorted out. It was a bit difficult getting there though through the winding alleys.
