Ostello di Arquà Polesine Hostel

Arquà Polesine is situated 9 kilometers South of Rovigo, a pleasant area in central Polesine, right next to the gratest wet-land area of Italy (and amongst the gratest in Europe) and represented by the Park of the Po Delta. The Hostel is located in a strategic position regarding the many artistic cities of North-Eastern Italy: 15 minutes from Ferrara, 30 minutes from Padova, 1 hour from Venice, Verona, Bologna, Ravenna and Mantova. The Polesine was a meeting point for many cultures in the Renaqissance period and presents architectural aspects of great interest recalling the confluence of the Venitians and the Ferrarians, preserved to this very day in the numerous villas reachable on cycling trips. The Hostel which has been recently opened is situated on the banks of Canalbianco and houses within its walls a famous canoe and rowing center. Guests can enjoy canoeing courses, tourist excursions (in canoes and dragon boat), training periods for specialized athletes and disabled ones too in the Po Delta. Besides, the Hostel is particulary well equipped for disabled athletes and for the canoe sport (handikayak) and hippotherapy is available at a nearby specialized center.
