Lhasa River Guest House is a peaceful and quiet place. It is also far away from the crowd and busy area in the center of the city, but for whom that like nature and want to be far from pollution and traffic is the best choice. It takes about 20mins walking distance to the Putala Palace and 25mins walking distance to the Johkong Temple. Our aim is to build a nice family atmosphere and do our best to help you and hope you feel comfortable and relax here like home.

Ric, Will, and I are foreign teachers in China and been to quite a few hostels. If excellent is five stars this place must have six! A new hostel with a wonderful hospitality. Harry and Lizzy picked us up from the train station, took the time to show us around, offer to clean our clothes, and cook us breakfast and dinner. They really made our journey great! The hostel is a little aways from the hustle of the city near but minutes with the 109 bus or a good walk to downtown. Even better it is close to a nice river and going on the roof to watch the sunset is just something else! There are only few rooms so you get to know the guest. Right now the toilets are eastern but well kept. It can also get cold at night but they will give you more blankets if need be! They will make the effort so be nice to them! What an experience in Lhasa.
