I had a fabulous experience at this hostel! It is conveniently located, the owners are amazing, and it is extremely clean. The hostel is really a house with a rustic sort of feel (a perfect house for the Adirondack Mountains). The owners, John and Monica live on site. Every morning, you wake up to a homemade breakfast, which is included in the price of your stay. Wonderful food -- homemade pancakes, fresh fruit, muffins -- the works! Everyone sits family-style at the breakfast table (if you choose to). This is a great way to really get to know the other people staying at the hostel. One of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had at a hostel!

This hostel was very clean, very nice, and very affordable. The owners are great and very helpful. I would recommend it to anyone.

Very rude owners :( I will never visit again. I had been there in the past and had great service. But something set the man off the other day and I got a bad vibe. BEWARE.

I stayed here for a couple of days at the end of September 2004 and I have to say it was the cleanest and most comfortable hostel I have visited. The owners are really nice people. It's in a fantastic location just a ten-minute walk from the town and all the amenities it has to offer.

Great location. This hostel has lovely owners and a nice homely feel to the place. The other guests were really interesting; some were hikers, some travelers, and there were others who used the winter Olympic facilities in the town. The Internet for $1 a day is an excellent value. I would definitely recommend staying here.

totally fun, great people, and location. John makes a mean sticky bun, and I still can't make as good a marinara sauce as Monika, even with the same recipe!

The hostel just moved to a new location. Perfect location. Very helpful owners. The new building is good. I'm sure with their vision it will be outstanding. The food is good. I certainly got more than I paid for.
