This was a nice hostel. It is also a dorm for czech students. You can choose between less comfortable and more comfortable rooms. We chose the more comfortable ones, which were very good for the price. There is a small shop/cafe where you can buy beer, sandwiches, and other stuff. It's three stops with metro line going south from the center. Don't know if you can reach it late at night though if you're out partying and want to go back. Worth looking up buses or taxi.

It isn't an hostel actually. Czech students or workers rent rooms there. the structure is old and odd. I think it has been some psychiatric hospital, from block C windows you have a beautiful view on a little cemetery. I'm not joking. The staff are unuseful. No friendly atmosphere. they only speak Czech and a bit of German. It's very cheap though, and quite clean. big bathrooms(as big as in hospitals) and one kitchen and laudry room for each floor. No cooking equipment available btw. and no breakfast. there's a bar down(cheap beer) the block and a little supermarket usually closed(the woman working there is very friendly anyway, but she only speaka Czech, as everyone).
If you're staying in Prague for long time a good thing is you can rent a room for one person and then take there who you want(they will give you a double room at least, for 7 euros per night, really cheap).Good luck!
