4 Always a party
Well what can i say? found myself there, found friends there, and found my husband there. had a great time meeting people from all walks of life. but yeah the place wasn't the ritz but when you are on a budget and wanting to travel, it was a great place to live. Lived there for eleven months.

5 This is where we met. We got married eight months later and five years down the track we are still happily married! You share a room with strangers, some with moral standards, and some not. Parties till four a.m. on the staircase and everyone gathering in the lounge to watch "The Simpsons." Most definitely one of the best travel experiences in my life! (And yes, if you do smoke a joint ever so often then "room service" can be organised -- depends how well you know the managers.)

2 I will start with the worst: Ants in the shower and on the toilets, rats (outside at least), water dropping from the roof room, fire alarm woke me s few times in the early morning (4-5AM; obviously no fire: only people smoking drugs in the kitchen probably). It's not so bad, if you have a great sense of humour. And anyway I wasn't expecting too much for the price. It's well located, cheap and people are friendly (and by the way, they're all male.) As a woman, I never felt unsafe. So go there if only if you are poor or lost. If you intend to stay more than a week, here's some advice: Bring detergent to wash the walls (yes: the walls were very dirty, with some unidentified brown things on it), and ask the hotel manager for the vacuum cleaner. Oh, and bring your own sheets.

3 I stayed here about six years back and it was quite an experience. Nightly drinking until morning on the stairs, rats roaming under the floorboards, drugs easily located in the penthouse, etc. A bit of an odd experience, but it is very cheap. Don't know much else to say about it except you won't be bored or lonely there. Just be careful if you are female... a lot of the regulars won't hesitate to take advantage of a travelling young female.

2 I stayed at this hostel twice. The first time was okay. But on my second trip the place was falling to pieces. Bad plumbing, etc. Please go somewhere else.

2 It's dirty, the management is poor, the rats are in abundance (outside) and there are a lot of drugs, but there is always someone friendly to chat with. A short stay is wicked, for long stays get out of there before you start naming your pet rat!

5 I had a wicked time here! The people were great, and the location is as well! I had no complaints here; you pay for what you get these days (with regard to accommodations). If you're flying into Heathrow, be sure to crash here!

5 It's not so much the location but the people that make the Silver Fern a wonderful place to stay. The managers, especially Daniel and Tyron, are two of the nicest and most professional people you'll ever meet. For 70 pounds a week, this place is most definitely worth it. I can honestly say that when I go back to London this August for my birthday, I will most definitely be staying here.
