Simple accommodation at a great price.
"The air conditioned room has an opening at the top of the door, probably for ventilation, but it also provides air conditioning to occupants of the rooms next door, thus they could also enjoy the air con whenever it's on, despite not paying for air con dorm." So there was air con and some guest got it for free -- what a great place it must be -- very nice on those hot summer nights! This is one hell of a great little hostel in an even greater location. I took the subway to central park and walked there, checked my email for free, and enjoyed a beer and the view from the balcony after I checked in.

Disappointed
This place is definitely not as the short preview raves about. It is rundown and the toilets are choked easily even without toilet paper thrown into the bowl. The facilities are very old, in fact, the door to the toilet was jammed and it took at least ten minutes to whang it out. The bathrooms are dirty and stained. The rooms are not comfortable at all. The beds are thin and the blankets feel dirty. The pillows are old and saggy. The air conditioned room has an opening at the top of the door, probably for ventilation, but it also provides air conditioning to occupants of the rooms next door, thus they could also enjoy the air con whenever it's on, despite not paying for air con dorm. The balcony is merely a small extension of the room, with mosquito nets covering it. The staircase is small and tight, very difficult to move especially with backpacks. The laundry service is not free and it was not stated on the website. The internet service is slow and the pc is jammed easily. The place really looks rundown and definitely deserves a renovation as soon as possible. The location is not at all accessible. It is not easy to get there from the train station at all.
