Kinabalu Backpackers Lodge

it has what t takes to be a good budget lodge!
i've been a guest there from 20th till 31st december 2007. it was my first vacation in sabah borneo and a very last minute decision for lodging at KB Lodge turned out to be excellent. All my activities, the adventures, and short trips were decided and arranged over the counter. KB lodge definitely has got good people running it. Special thanks to Hody, Diana. Nizam, and Roger for being such jolly good fellows. So you guys out there, if you want good, comfy, budget lodge, KB lodge is the one. Good location, quiet, and the city is just walking distance.

I can only recommend this hostel to anybody! Rooms are clean; service is excellent; and staff very friendly, helpful, and provides you with all of the information you will need for your trips to the five islands or Mt. Kinabalu! When I was there I had a lot of fun every minute I spent in the hostel. Besides it is just a five minutes walk to the market, the sea, and most attractions in town.

family run, clean, friendly, and helpful
We were lucky to stay in Kinabalu Backpackers Lodge only a couple of weeks after they'd opened. The family that's running it was very friendly and helpful. a much better breakfast and a choice of drinks than other hostels in the area we stayed in. Good location. I'd absolutely recommend it.
