5 Eastgate is a small hostel on a street in what can be considered the shopping district of Inverness. (Inverness is small and everyone knows everyone there. Everything closes at 5 p.m. as well, be warned.) The hostel didn't look very clean at first sight but it actually is. The employees clean every day and even sanitize the silverware every once in a while. The staff are great, especially Kylie. There is a small garden out back (ask where it is, the sign is easy to miss) where you can smoke, but make sure the doors are propped open because they will lock behind you. The beds are comfy and the bedsheets are washed between each guest.

5 This is for sure the BEST hostel in Scotland, it is so much fun to stay at and the staff are super friendly and cool!!! There was lots of hot water and showers, free tea and coffee, you get a high view of a quaint quiet street, and it's a hop away from pubs and good food. It also had really comfortable beds, which is always a bonus!! I recommend renting their bikes and going up the Ness island trails. GREAT PLACE!!!

5 Fab place, very clean. There's only a few showers... but hey I never had to wait for anyone. For the ones who were waiting, there were chairs!!! The people were very nice, especially the blondish girl at reception. It also has a fabulous kitchen that allows some real cooking. We cooked macaroni for 16 people in there!!!

4 Really good hostel, one of the best I've seen. There are few showers, but the place is so charming I'm willing to overlook that(but it's the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars). Really really clean, super-friendly people, clean and modern kitchen, free tea and coffee (thank-you, Mr. Gaelic!). I'm definitely coming back. The place was quiet, too. The showers need some explaining :). Love this one, definitely recommended!

3 The staff was helpful but overworked. The room was nice and clean but the shower situation could have been better. The worst thing was the LOUSY phone service. They had a phone designed to take your money and leave you hanging!!
