Really nice hostel at good price When I finally found the hostel -- the taxi driver was no help -- I stepped into a welcoming atmosphere in a quaint old house. The rooftop area is really special, staff was friendly and they even had a hostel cat! I love cats! As I don't need a wild party crowd, this hostel was quite right for me. It is situated in an old part of the town, not far away from everything you need and would want to visit in the great city of Buenos Aires. I will go there again! — Anna , Germany (2011-07-14)
We had the worst experience here. We arrived and they gave us a price. They put us in our rooms and the following morning they told our friend that she had to pay the other half of the room they placed her in. They put her in a double and since she was alone they wanted to charge her for the entire room. They made the mistake of placing her in a better room and then they wanted to charge her for the other half. I could not believe it. We ended up leaving the hostel after calling the police because the owner, who is a witch, grabbed my friend by the coat and would not allow her to leave. We had to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs without any help as the workers made fun of us. It was a horrible experience. Do not go here! — Demian (2005-08-15)
The owner is the worst. She looks so nice, but in the end she is a witch. — Anonymous (2004-11-25)

This place has a great, fun staff, and an awesome rooftop terrace to kick back on with a few beers and meet other travellers. There's a nice common area downstairs as well. Contrary to what the description says, this place does not have a restaurant, pub, pool table or darts board! These things are available in other places nearby, though. Cool mix of travellers here - not quite the party crowd of the Millhouse Hostel, but definitely a fun atmosphere. My only complaint - the bathrooms get very wet and slippery as the showers spray out onto the floor (very dangerous). Other than that - a great place! — Phil (2004-05-14)
