Great
Super relaxed, friendly, and pleasant vibe. This hostel was great such a refreshment from the cold, dead, gray, rat trap hostels that I'm used to. Top Marks (I'm heading back there now!).

This place was an absolute disgusting stinking hovel! The beds weren't made up so we saw how minging the mattresses were, the shower leaked so bad there was an inch of water all over the floor and even the carpet in the hall was soaked. I won't even go into how bad the toilets were and there was no way i was gonna have breakfast there. oh and i slept on top of the towels i brought. Do not stay here, it's not even worth 50p.

I would never stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone! The staff was disgruntled and rude and the place was gross! I am pretty sure the sheets are not changed between customers and there are like three showers (which are all disgusting and dirty!). No mirror in the bathroom or bedroom, no lockers in the rooms, no free internet even though the website said it did, and really confusing floor plan. I could go on and on but this place is not even worth my time. Just don't stay here!

The pictures in this booking engine are a good honest and accurate portrayal of this cozy and comfortable backpackers. Good well maintained fittings, large showers, fully sprung mattresses, and luxury axminster carpets. Has deals with several local indian restaurants, these are a must. The value is excellent. Widely promotes the fifty free internets available across the road in the big city library. The hostel's internet -- five computers -- is also free as is the wifi. Had a real interesting whisky tasting evening explaining the difference between malts from the isles and highlands and lowlands and then went on the hostels tour of glengoyne distillery the next day. There are a huge variety of pubs at the end of the street in argyle including two Gaelic speaking bars and the Goat which has Subnday night swedish jazz. Around the block is the Charing cross nightlife bars but Argyle st caters for students and is cheaper with better live music.

This hostel has a great atmosphere. Small, cozy, and cheap. The people are nice here, they will help you with everything. And are always in for a talk. Near the sauchiehallstreet, the place to be for youngsters. A lovely place for a lovely price.

I've stayed in some dumps over my backpacking years, but this is the worst! Seriously, consider sleeping on the street before booking here. Filthy, smelly hole. This is how bad the showers were -- I did the half marathon in Glasgow, and instead of using their showers, I traveled home to use mine -- urgh. Plus, no privacy using the toilets, they're quite open, anyone walking in the hall, or sitting in the communal lounge will hear you pee. Your feet will stick to the floor if you need to use the kitchen -- enough said?

Please, there is only one way to describe this place -- a total dump. There were holes in the roof, no toilet paper, it smelt. Really really bad, the owner was a chain smoking, sixty-plus-year-old who walked around with his arse and beer gut hanging out. There was also this really weird old woman hanging around. Don't give up your dignity!

Pretty gross. Toilet paper was not really available here, and lots of toilets were broken. I'm pretty sure my sheets weren't changed after the last person. The employees of this hostel are strange, and one of them threatened violence to one of my mates because he thought he drank his drink. The only good things I could say about it are the common area is huge and nice and they don't care when you leave: but for 12.5 pounds, it's not really worth it.

Run by backpackers for other travellers it has a good atmosphere. Right in the centre. It is more aimed at visiters who wish to enjoy this fun student city rather than one-night stays. The facilities are good and they have a student list of other flats and places to stay. You won't find bad plumbing or long term residents who treat the place like a huge multistoried smoking room. It is non smoking throughout. It is proving very popular.
