1  'Hostel' -- the film. DONT STAY HERE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! creepy staff trying to get into our room in the middle of the night about 6 times, totally non-functional kitchen. Our room had a trap door above the bed, and an open attack leading into our room, and dont take up the multiple offers of a free drink from the weird manager, most probably laced with something. When having asked the manager for any dvds he had that we could borrow, we were handed a bag or pornography dvds. Was absolutely terrified, so much we considered leaving at 11 at night. creepiest place ive ever been in, would have preferred to sleep in a bus station. Just dont stay here!!  , England ()
1  Great for the thrill seeker Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be one of the characters of "Trainspotting"? Well, this is the place to find out! Watch out for Collin, the night manager, he enjoys seducing young men. If he invites you in for a drink at the reception, say no! Unless your into drinking, doing drugs, and having sex with a disgusting old man.  ()
1  The worst hostel ever! Do no go there! It's the stinkiest, filthiest, most disgusting place I've ever been to and I would never ever recommend it to anyone. I stayed there for two nights and that's was the absolute limit. The staff are strange (they had fights when I was staying there) and they had lost our reservation, the toilets and showers were dirty and broken, rooms had no locks, beds had probably never been cleaned, kitchen was barely functional, the floor was so sticky it stuck to your feet. Boy, was I glad to leave Glasgow and that hostel!  , Finland ()
1  Criminal, creepy dump Staff rude, everything filthy, police showed up two times in three nights, one of which because a staff member stabbed his friend in the adjoining room to ours with no lock, have never been so terrified in my life! Spoiled my trip. If you search well, I think you can find drugs or dead bodies over there, all those creepy doors.  , Holland ()
1  This place was an absolute disgusting stinking hovel! The beds weren't made up so we saw how minging the mattresses were, the shower leaked so bad there was an inch of water all over the floor and even the carpet in the hall was soaked. I won't even go into how bad the toilets were and there was no way i was gonna have breakfast there. oh and i slept on top of the towels i brought. Do not stay here, it's not even worth 50p.  ()
2  I would never stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone! The staff was disgruntled and rude and the place was gross! I am pretty sure the sheets are not changed between customers and there are like three showers (which are all disgusting and dirty!). No mirror in the bathroom or bedroom, no lockers in the rooms, no free internet even though the website said it did, and really confusing floor plan. I could go on and on but this place is not even worth my time. Just don't stay here!  ()
4  This hostel has a great atmosphere. Small, cozy, and cheap. The people are nice here, they will help you with everything. And are always in for a talk. Near the sauchiehallstreet, the place to be for youngsters. A lovely place for a lovely price.  ()
1  I've stayed in some dumps over my backpacking years, but this is the worst! Seriously, consider sleeping on the street before booking here. Filthy, smelly hole. This is how bad the showers were -- I did the half marathon in Glasgow, and instead of using their showers, I traveled home to use mine -- urgh. Plus, no privacy using the toilets, they're quite open, anyone walking in the hall, or sitting in the communal lounge will hear you pee. Your feet will stick to the floor if you need to use the kitchen -- enough said?  ()
1  Please, there is only one way to describe this place -- a total dump. There were holes in the roof, no toilet paper, it smelt. Really really bad, the owner was a chain smoking, sixty-plus-year-old who walked around with his arse and beer gut hanging out. There was also this really weird old woman hanging around. Don't give up your dignity!  ()
2  Pretty gross. Toilet paper was not really available here, and lots of toilets were broken. I'm pretty sure my sheets weren't changed after the last person. The employees of this hostel are strange, and one of them threatened violence to one of my mates because he thought he drank his drink. The only good things I could say about it are the common area is huge and nice and they don't care when you leave: but for 12.5 pounds, it's not really worth it.  ()
1  Untidy, strange staff — don't stay here.  ()
3  Run by backpackers for other travellers it has a good atmosphere. Right in the centre. It is more aimed at visiters who wish to enjoy this fun student city rather than one-night stays. The facilities are good and they have a student list of other flats and places to stay. You won't find bad plumbing or long term residents who treat the place like a huge multistoried smoking room. It is non smoking throughout. It is proving very popular.  ()
