Avoid the hotels -- choose this hostel Extremely friendly. Professional and efficient service. Quiet and private accommodation. Easy access from all areas of Florence. Choose this hostel -- highly recommended.

Great location, great people! This was our second time staying at the Youth Hostel Firenze 2000. Simona and company were the best! Thanks again for making our stay in Florence so special!

The best Hostel ever! Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is a wonderful warm environment where you will feel right at home. The staff is great, and the rooms are very very clean. This was my first time in a hostel and it was a wonderful experience. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Great Hostel I'd like to thank people in charge of the hostel for the nice stay we had in Florence and for their support. The hostel is very nice and comfortable and people working there are very nice and helpful. Hope we'll have the chance to visit again soon.

So wonderful! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating -- gave us a choice of rooms so our little boy had plenty of room to move around. Plenty of space to lounge around and relax. Only wish the walking directions from the train station were more direct.

Very kind and sociable management, good location, great room! Room was great -- spacious, comfortable, and very clean! Internet service offered at reasonable rates and some beverages' vending machines available. Management very kind and sociable (I am Italian but noticed that they are really available and kind also with foreign guests, and speak very good English). Few bars and restaurants, as well as a supermarket and other food shops close by.
Pretty decent location at fifteen minutes from Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi area on foot, although could not assess if the neighborhood was necessarily safe to walk through at night. Not a super cheap hostel, but the room was definitely worth the price. I would recommend it and I would most probably return myself.

Great place to stay, great staff Staff is brilliant, location is good (especially if you have a car to park), and rooms are clean. Maybe it's not the better place to meet other travelers but for couples and families is perfect.

Barely passing the minimal. Had more trouble with this hostel than expected. First, they require a prepay on booking. Second, the reception closes at 7:30, and since we arrived slightly later they requested additional 20 euro for checking us in. The rooms were moderately dirty. They do mop the floor, but don't bother with mats and covers, which have a remarkable amount of fossilized hair on them. Their windows (located somewhere close to the ceiling, you can't look through them) don't have nets, expect loads of mosquitoes during the night. Their wireless is the most expensive around, but there is a free wi-fi spot nearby, about which they wouldn't tell you. In addition they requested money to store our luggage on the last day, a practice I've never seen before. Also, it's not that cheap if you compare it to the friendly b&bs that people run in their homes. I wouldn't stay there again if I had a choice.

This place was very nice and the staff were extra friendly. It was a little expensive but not bad (70 euros for a double) and very clean and quiet.

It was clean, and the staff were really friendly. The receptionist helped us with restaurants and recommended sights to see. It was a little too expensive for our budget, though. It was also a little difficult to find, because no bus driver seemed to know where it was. We recommend this hostel to anyone who wants a nice and clean room to stay in.

The staff was very, very friendly. The free breakfast was nothing to write home about. I would stay here again. This hostel had clean bathrooms and clean rooms.

I stayed here in the winter and it was a mistake. They don't keep the heat or hot water on much of the day, so prepare to freeze. The manager was not very friendly. The rooms were big and boring, but pretty clean.
