Welcome to Central Hostel, with new management, renovated and opened again in spring 2007.The Central Hostel is a modern villa with a spacious area garden ,situated in the middle of Bucharest and in the best position for connections to any place of the city. We have 34 beds in rooms which accommodate between 2 and 8 people.
The hostel is situated near "Piata Gemenii" square, near to food markets, restaurants, and clubs. With our 24 hour reception, there are young and friendly staff that will be happy to assist you with anything you may need. Also there is no curfew.
You can cook what you like in our fully equipped kitchen and have breakfast or dinner outside in our spacious garden area, read under the shade, and relax!
The following facilities are included in our price: breakfast, use of internet, use of the kitchen, main lounge, lockers-safes, linen and blankets, bag storage, travel info-maps, hot showers, no smoking.
We also have available for our guests guide book, telephone cards, and use of the local laundry.
Please Note: Discount for groups between 5 and 20 people is 5% off booking, and discount for groups between 20 and 36 people is 10% off booking. After your booking we ask to send a bank transfer 30% off your booking as an advanced payment. We don't accept credit cards, payment at arrival just cash.

About our opinion in relation to the Central Hostel, it has been embarrassing because the same day that we arrived to Bucarest, after the taxi driver left us at the entrance of the hostel, it was a surprise for us to find that the hostel was closed and there wasn’t anybody, losing for that reason our booking which had been booked weeks ago for 10 Euros. Therefore, we had to look for another hostel in the evening, in the night and in a place unknown for us. Furthermore, the rest of the hostels and hotels were too expensive. We were luck because we found a hostel near to this one, about 10 min, it’s called Doors hostel. We only can say good things about this hostel, we had a good experience there, good service, cleaned, in good conditions and a good price, it was only 10 Euros too. So, we recommend to everybody who goes to Bucarest, the idea of booking this hostel and reject the idea of booking the first one “Central Hostel” because it was a really bad experience.

The dis-proportioned cross-stitching maps of the world and the random Egyptian wall hangings. Such an amazing breakfast and the coffee is phenomenal. And the huge maps on the walls which doesn't help you navigate through town but fun to stare at.

This is a really nice place, perhaps a bit far from downtown but it's not really a problem. The staff was really friendly and the hostel wasn't noisy. For the price, it's perfect, even if the breakfast (include) is just a bit "light".
