The room was quite dirty. The bathroom was better than the room. From what I experienced, it was cleaned once a day. The showers are open, I mean the shower room has open cubicles, with no curtains, like those you can find in a gym. They are quite clean and the toilets are about average. The staff are friendly and there is no curfew; that is a very good thing for tourists!! — Filippo (2005-11-08)

The best open-air cafes in two minutes, friendly staff, reasonable price, and free laundry. — Yohannes (2005-05-30)

This is a large hostel with only one elevator. The rooms are okay — they come with a refrigerator. The best thing is the pub in front of the hostel with cheap beer. Next to the hostel there are two open-air locations with disco and good music — there's free entrance but no cheap beer! Tram No. 2/4 and a 24 hour shop are close to the hostel. Try to get a room at the back of the hostel — it's not so noisy and sunny, so it's cooler ;-) — djrj (2004-10-12)

Friendly staff, free laundry, very positive night life. The showers and toilets are a little bit dirty, but I think are acceptable. The showers are mixed for girls and boys, but you can easily find a time slice when nobody is using the shower room except you. I recommend this hostel if you are not too rich and you like the nightlife in Budapest. — Alizée (2004-07-27)
This hostel is disgustingly dirty and the showers (???) are pipes clinging to the last few cracked and greasy tiles in a concrete room that would stir visions of wartime atrocities. I won't even begin to describe the toilets... That would be too graphic. There is no privacy in the (mixed) toilet and shower rooms. YUCK!! We won't be back here again! — Chelley (2004-07-23)

This place has a very friendly staff, and the very best open cafés within a two-minute walk. Yes, the showers are communal for girls and guys, but I think it is not too big a problem. — Cecile (2004-07-22)

This place is fine, except for the bathrooms–girls on one floor and guys on another, but everyone just uses the ones on their floor. They're fairly dirty, and the showers are disgusting. There are no shower curtains, and it's basically like a leaking pipe over your head, not very nice! But the staff are friendly, and the free laundry and cheap breakfast helps! — Anonymous (2004-07-20)
