This is the only hostel i have ever shortened a stay at. It is more like a soviet army barracks then a hostel, zero atmosphere here. It is advertised as having a common room but it does not, the receptionist looked confussed when i asked where it was, the bar doesn't open until nine p.m., i had a four-bed room to myself which is cool but since i was traveling alone and there is nowhere in this hostel to meet others it was pretty boring. Was not that clean. when i told the night receptionist i would not be staying the following night he refused to refund my money, he yelled at me in hungarian and eventually threw a bunch of notes at me as a partial refund. There is no internet and i asked the receptionist where an I-Cafe was they sent me somewhere with no internet cafes which wasted time. The staff seem to have no local knowledge at all. The morning reception lady was very polite and tried hard to help me which is a big plus. Note. The address of this hostel is written as 42 Irinyi Utca on their sight but is actually at 42 Irinyi Jozsef Utca. This is important since there is another Irinyi Utca about three kilometers away in the centre of Pest old town.

Beautiful!!! Me and my girlfriend stayed in a four-person room with just the two of us (seems standard procedure!!!) on the top (18th) floor. WOW! We had a lot of space and slept like babies after a hitchhike trip from Prague. Staff were friendly and for some strange reason we paid less then was on the signs at the reception, maybe it is because we reserved by phone. But we weren't able to figure it out. Enjoy the view!

This place has quiet, clean rooms with a shower. The common toilets could sometimes be cleaner but some residents could also show greater responsibility. This place has great views and it's right beside the tram stop, which is so very convenient.

A fridge next to your bed, hot shower, helpful staff, about 100 yards from tram stops, a location pretty close to two night clubs, a supermarket five minutes away — what more do you need in a hostel?

I have not stayed here. I was going to, as it's convenient for where I need to be, but apparently it's only open in August and September! (I've given it an average rating as I've not stayed here!)
