Unsafe, Unprofessional, Cramped When I stayed, we had three people sleeping on the floor because they overbook the rooms -- these people paid the same price as we who were staying on beds. One of the bunks was wobbly and seemed unsafe. The shower, toilet, and basin were all in a tiny (approximately one meter by one meter) wet room. I would only recommend this place if you are desperate, as it is cheap. Other than the above, I did manage to have a nice time because of the other lovely backpackers I met there.

New Garden Hostel, Traveller Friendship Hostel, Downtown Backpacker Hostel, or is there a fourth name -- it doesn't matter. It's the same. The rooms are clean. But you shower on top of the toilet and you're good if you can do it without getting your towel wet. The staff is trying to rip you off in every way it's possible. The location is excellent and that's pretty much what you're paying for.
