2 Location, food at the restaurant.   — Customer review (2011-08-13) Hostelbookers
5 Was absolutly nothing to do in the hostel (no guests, no internet, no activities in the hostel...) but the place was really clean and nice and perfect for traveling with a family   — Customer review (2011-06-12) Hostelbookers
5 Great staff, especially the owner/ chef Vincent. Made the place very welcoming, and a great cook.   — Michael O'Neill (2011-02-11) Hostelbookers
4 Very well situated to visit Connemara, very warm welcome from everybody and helpful.   — Customer review (2010-08-13) Hostelbookers
5 Very nice hostel, newly refurbished it seems, right in the middle of the small village. Very nice welcome by the landlady although she was very busy with dinner guests at the adjacent restaurant; great food and atmosphere there for reasonable prices - no need to look further. Thanks again!   — Annie Cornu (2010-04-16) Hostelbookers
5 This place was perfectly located near the national park- about a 2 minute walk. The kitchen facility was great and everyone was really friendly. I would definitely go back   — Customer review (2010-04-14) Hostelbookers
5 Very friendly staff. Lovely and clean hostel, very good pub adjoining the property and two others very close. Wonderful food in the Bards Den - a very welcome stop - we will return!   — Christine Maddison (2009-09-21) Hostelbookers
3 The pub was great, but next time I will stay somewhere else and eat at the pub. The bed was comfortable enough (double private ensuite), but the carpet was fairly grotty and the bathroom was gross. Has a major mould problem, the smell was overpowering and leeched into the bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked and breakfast was good, but doesn't make up for the horrible room. Particularly with what we paid for it. I will definitely not stay here again.   — Emily Varone (2009-07-31) Hostelbookers
Was a very bad stay... =(   — RICCARDO, Italy (2009-07-30) Hostelsclub
5 The hostel was the best I've ever stayed at! The staff were amazing and super friendly, the location is beautiful as it's surrounded by the 12 bens and there's so many things to do whether it be hiking, cycling, horse riding or fishing! The locals made every backpacker feel welcome and the rooms are cleaned every day (even fresh towels) and the rooms are so comfortable. Plus the food is so great in the pub and I recommend this to anyone who wants the true Ireland experience!   — Sarah Pettit (2009-07-21) Hostelbookers
3 this hostel is very well situated, in the heart of connemara. the fact that there is a pub restaurant inside is very usefull . free bike hire+free breakfast ( :)) .   — Customer review (2009-07-13) Hostelbookers
4 It's a bar and a hostel in the same spot on the main road but you still can get a good night sleep after you had a few pints in the bar and listened to the live music which I would recommend to everyone.   — Customer review (2009-06-02) Hostelbookers
3 of course the location, but also the really charming pub/restaurant with good local food! however, great dissapointment on the breakfast. nobody came to serve us (as promised) and there was a real lack of food.   — Matthieu Bertrand (2009-05-05) Hostelbookers
5 It's a charming inn. The staff was really nice and friendly, and the atmosphere and food in their pub was excellent. I will go back if I get around again. I highly recommend it evreyone between 2-102 :-)   — Erzsebet Porzse (2008-11-17) Hostelbookers
5 Free breakfast that wasn't advertised. The bar meals were excellent, huge servings and great value for money. The people were all so friendly and helpful   — Sheridan Robinson (2008-09-30) Hostelbookers
5 This area is beatiful.   — Marleen Hilbig (2008-08-25) Hostelbookers
Horrible. Very dirty beedroms and bathrooms. We didn't take the breakfast because the lounge was very dirty and nasty and they offered only cereals. We also didn't take a shower, it was filthy! the type of rooms was different from what we booked.   — DANIEL, Spain (2008-07-13) Hostelsclub
