We would like to welcome all of you to the new and improved Hollywood Highland Hotel and Hostel. We are located on the world famous Hollywood walk of fame. One block west of the Mann's Chinese theater as well as the Kodak Theater. We are above the Hollywood Liquor store an across the street from a l.a fitness gym. We have newly renovated showers and rooms. We have rooms that can accomodate 4-6 persons. we have same sex rooms and mixed rooms. We do not have private rooms. All of our rooms are equipped with clean restrooms and showers. We offer a complimentary breakfast and coffee everyday from 8am-10am. We have two internet kiosks and have a wonderful outdoor patio for guests to relax out doors.Below the hostel we have a souvenir stop where you can buy things to commemorate you trip to hollywood. We also have a company that we use for limosine tours of L.A, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, and the downtown l.a area. We are minutes away from the red line metro line where you can connect to go to places like Universal Studios, the Hollywood bowl, and downtown l.a. we are also able to direct you to go to disneyland, six flags magic mountain, and any of the beaches. our location is perfect for you to be able to go all clubs on hollywood blvd. This hostel is located directly opposite Mann's Chinese Theatre so it's great for sightseeing. The train station is nearby too but it's a long way from LAX airport and about an hour away from the beach at Santa Monica. The staff are great -- friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the hostel needs a makeover as it's pretty shabby. The dorm room I slept in didn't even have glass in the window! It's clean enough but it's pretty dark and dingy and looks like it hasn't been decorated in a few years. There's free breakfast of toast and coffee but the kitchen is tiny and there are no cooking facilities, only a microwave. Nice people, just a shame about the hostel! — liz (2006-11-29)
