Description

Haikou Banana Hostel's aim is to create a relaxed and comfortable place to stay. Watch DVDs on our 43 inch plasma TV in the media room. Sit back and chat the hostel chill-out room and listen to music from the mp3 library. Enjoy the sunshine in the Haikou Hostel banana garden (complete with BBQ). Have a game on our pool table. Or just surf the internet. We also have cheap local beer and serve Western and Chinese food.

Haikou Banana Hostel offers a full range of accommodation from inexpensive dormitory rooms to small apartments complete with own kitchen. All our rooms have a private bathroom and hot shower.

Haikou Banana Hostel is conveniently located just off one of the main roads in Haikou, Renmin road. Friendly and helpful staff
Great place to stay in Haikou with really friendly and helpful staff. Place is clean and the location is really good with many restaurants around. It also has a big common area and garden which is a nice place to relax and meet other travelers. Information wall with lots of information about Haikou and Hainan. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Very poor, moved out as soon as i found alternate accommodation
i arrived at 8:30 p.m. had booked for eleven nights. went to three rooms before i found one that was relatively clean and all the lights worked. still a bad smell from the toilet and dirt under the bed. jug also didn't work. the night staff young man was wonderful and so was the young girl on duty in the morning, they helped me find alternate accommodation as it was spring festival time i was eventually lucky. note on internet said self service kitchen and air con. some rooms only had air con but no remote. the kitchen consisted of a small fridge and a microwave, no cutlery or crockery and one small kitchen table with four chairs. i have stayed at hostels in china, australia, and nz. all wonderful. this one certainly doesn't rate as an international hostel and the website needs to be honest.
