Stayed in a doublebed and it wasn¸t in the hostel. Located at a residential building in the other side of the square, there was much noise and the room didn¸t feel safe. The bed made A LOT of noise, what was really unconfortable. Besides, the hot water ran out in EVERY shower. The worst part, however, was when we were about to check out. There was nobody at the reception and, as my girlfriend had a flight to get, we couldn¸t wait. I was supposed to go to another city, but I came back to return the keyes, just to be mistreated by the hostels owners. Althought the staff tried to be helpfull, it was their mistake not telling me the keyes could be left in the apartment, and the owners were really unpleasent (not to say other things).Wouldn¸t recommend.

The people who ran it were great, and it was in a great location right in the heart of Split. It was an excellent value for the money. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great location. Should be advertised as an 'apartment' as we (two couples - two double beds with shared bath) were staying in exactly that - someone's apartment. When the woman showed us to our rooms, which were in a separate building from where the reception is, I asked her if anyone else was sleeping in there. She said yes, just one other couple, and pointed to their room. Failed to tell me about the woman and little boy occupying the other room, who obviously live there and had their very loud television on 24/7. The rooms were good. Bathroom not good, awkward as it's very cluttered with their own stuff. AND no hot water! Very noisy at night with drunks leaving the nearby bars but this must be the case anywhere in the area. Unfortunately closing our window didn't help as the glass was broken. The woman tried to overcharge us by using her made up exchange rate, but we returned later to pay and luckily found her son there, who charged us correctly. For 18gbp per person it was good value if not staying for very long.

Perfect location. We didn't stay at the hostel, but at some nice woman's apartment nearby. She didn't speak english, but tried to help us as much as she could. Spoke italian and french though. Shared bathroom with the other guests and the owner. She gave us cappuccinos in the morning and had a cute dog.

More of a studio flat than a hostel room - comfortable large bed, excellent shower, plenty of hot water; hob and fridge if you want to selfcater - and best of all - aircon that kept us cool enough to sleep at night in August!

The building was full of character and history. A slightly lop-sided old house with a lovely view of the old city and harbour from our room. It couldn't be better located. The owners are lovely, helpful people. Relaxed about check-out time (11 to 12 noon) too.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The location was fantastic. It was more like staying in a little apartment than a hostel with a kitchen and dinning area shared between three rooms.
