Very clean, a bit away from the action, friendly staff, poor internet Relative price: Average -- It's what you pay on average in Berlin for a hostel. Hygiene: Very clean -- This was in fact one of the cleanest hostels I have ever been in. Beds: Good -- Relatively thick, new mattresses. Staff: Friendly -- The guy at the reception was helpful.
Location: Average -- Although this hostel is close to the center of West Berlin, you have to walk to the bus about five minutes and then be on the bus for about another ten minutes to get to Berlin West downtown. About 30 minutes total to get to Berlin East downtown. Noise: Average -- Almost no street noise, but the doors to the rooms are a bit thin so when people in the halls make noise, you will hear it clearly. Internet: Bad -- They have one terminal, which has a really weird steel keyboard, almost impossible to type on. You can not really write emails or not many worthwhile things on the internet with this setup. I was a bit surprised that this hostel did not have wi-fi, a bit outdated. Other: They have a fairly nice common room with a nice TV and comfortable sofas. — Pete , England (2008-12-04)
