The Hostelz.com Review
Posada Juan Ignacio, this spacious hostel, has a cosmopolitan flavor with students from around South America using it as its base. It's one of those hostels where you suddenly feel like you've been there for weeks.
The Location
It's located in Pichincha, a district about twenty minutes' walk to the city centre, and also about twenty minutes to the bus station. As things in Rosario seem to happen in all corners of the city, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but a trip to the river -- very tempting when the sun's out -- may seem like quite a distance indeed.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Dorm rooms are really big, with a mixture of bunks and single beds. Plus, they all have big windows to let plenty of light in, and bright wood paneling that keeps the place feeling fresh. Bathrooms are a lot smaller and are in decent condition.
Common Spaces
There is a living/dining room downstairs, normally featuring people playing computer games or watching football. The sofas are a little worn down and could do with refurbishment but the dining tables and chairs are in good condition and the decor has a certain charm. Outside is better, though -- there's a swimming pool and a barbecue with a big table to share food and drink around. It's perfect for summer days.
Summary
This is a hostel with plenty of things going for it. It's owned by a group of friends who are constantly meeting in the hostel, and this gives it a real sense of liveliness. Location is the only down point as it can be a little far from things going on in the center or by the river, but overall it is very comfortable and a good base from which to explore Rosario.

Very green garden and refreshing swimming pool. plenty to do around the hostel at night as far as bars and restaurants go. Quiet location in good neighborhood 15 minute walk to el centro. 10 minutes walk from train station. 20 minutes to the bus. Great price value on internet. Walk ins pay more. — Rambling Robert , USA (2011-02-04)
