I stayed so long, I even went away and came back after a holiday in Scotland! Views, peace, craic, sea, comfort . . . what more could you want? It's friendly and nice with it. I recommend it very highly. I will be back. — Iain MacNeil (2005-10-21)

This is definitely the world's best hostel. Rodney and Margaret make you feel like you're at home in no time, and the hostel is just great, clean, cozy, and everything you could wish for. I've been there three times (2003-2005) and I definitely will be back in November 2005. — Doris (2005-08-24)

I stayed there a few years ago while cycling home. It's an amazing place, great people run it, and I met fantastic travelers there, including a Canadian on his bike for 15 years, a beautiful Swiss girl and a strict German. I ate lots of creamed rice — yum yum — then we hit the local pub for some Guinness and cycled back with the stars guiding us. That's the way it should be. This hostel is the real Ireland. You are lucky if you get to stay here. — Franz (2004-11-16)

This is by far the best hostel I stayed at in Ireland during a two-month visit. It's very clean, quiet, and friendly. I heard the corncrakes! — Susan (2004-10-14)

We stayed for one night here and really enjoyed it. The staff made us feel right at home. We went to Tul Na Ri in Carndonagh; that was a great night. We will definitely be back!! Thanks. (",) — Christina and Jennifer (2004-09-20)

I stayed here once in 2000. The couple that own this amazing hostel make you feel like there long lost child. As soon as I got there they sat me down with a cup of tea, and biscuts in front of the bay windows looking of the cliff's and water. This is my hands down favorit hostel in Ireland! — Ian (2004-03-25)

Awesome place, especially for the price! I can't say enough, easily the best hostel I've ever stayed in! — Anonymous (2004-03-17)

Great hostel, well run, friendly owners. Malin Head is the most beautiful place on earth. I won't forget the sandrock or the singing barman in the Crossroads Inn. — Anonymous (2004-01-22)

My family and I (eleven of us - three generations) stayed at this beautiful hostel just last month, September. It was mine and most of our group's first time ever staying in a hostel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The facility was absolutely comfortable; the sitting room and kitchen was very large and welcoming. Our kids bought fresh crab from local fisherman and cooked for all of us. A totally unforgettable experience and highlight of our visit to Ireland. — Mauriann Barton (2003-10-12)

The best hostel in the world, stay a week, you won't forget the hostel! — Anonymous (2003-09-13)

Sandrock was great, everything that you needed they had. The scenery was amazing around the house, sea and landscape. Good for a quiet few days. Enjoy it — Mick & Jess (2003-02-01)
