We found this hostel to be very good. I wouldn't say that the bathrooms were absolutely perfect, but they were quite acceptable as hostels go. I certainly did not consider them to be dirty.
The owner (Aiden) was very helpful and gave us a whole section to ourselves (about 8 in our party of motorcyclists). Those of us who wanted to have a smoke were happy to do so outside.
The hostel is very close to the main street of the town, where there are plenty of bars and a few places to eat. There was plenty of parking space for both cars and bikes.
Everyone in my group was well pleased and all said they would go back again. — Rod (2005-09-08)
Disgusting. Water (?) all over the bathroom floor, hairs everywhere and it constantly reeked. The beds were hard and uncomfortable with suspect-looking stains all over the sheets. The main kitchen was both cold and unwelcoming. The main building, from the outside looked in serious need of restoration. To sum up, the place was horrible. But the owners were very friendly. — A Visitor (2005-04-20)
The bathrooms were rancid. Water, hairs and other nasty fluids were everywhere. The showers were freezing and frequently flooded. The rooms themselves were of a poor standard, the beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were as thick as the pillowcases themselves. The kitchen was adequate (but cold) and the outside looked as if it had just experienced a fire. On the plus side, the owners were very friendly. — Anonymous (2005-04-20)

I found the hostel was lovely, clean, the owners very friendly, and I would be happy to go back! — Helen (2005-03-13)
Do they know the meaning of "clean"??? The bathroom was disgusting. And on top of that, when we arrived, there no record of our booking. — A Visitor (2004-08-20)
The bathrooms were really dirty. . . but the owners were friendly. — Anonymous (2004-08-20)

The bathrooms were clean, and the rooms were well kept. The owners were very friendly. If we ever get a chance to go back to Ireland, we will make sure we stay there again. — Pat (2004-06-11)
The bathrooms are dirty, hairs are lying everywhere, the showers are disgusting and bad, the beds are not very comfortable, the kitchen not so nice, the small kitchen is okay, but the big one is cold. From outside it looks like a prison or something like that. You are not allowed to smoke inside and sometimes there are no showers and toilets on the rooms... BAD. — A Visitor (2004-04-03)
