Overall a fantastic hostel. The kitchen is probably the best we´ve had in South America and the place was spotlessly clean. Am excellent, well run hostel that was clean, homey, had a huge, fully equipped kitchen, a great area for watching TV or DVD´s on a flat screen TV, 3 bathrooms, one with jacuzzi tub! The owners were very friendly and I felt very comfortable in thir hostel. Great hostel, the best thing is the hosts Gustavo and Macarena - they were friendly and welcoming, and always seemed interested in what wehad been up to that day. When we left our camera behind they carefully packaged it up and sent it to our next destination for us. The hostel is super clean and funky - the table in our room was made of a bike wheel! We had a nice stay here,it has a very nice communal kitchen (pretty small though). One thing to be aware of is that its pretty cold, the heating there isn´t the best and the dorm rooms have no heating whatsoever so the dorms were FREEZING! On our check out day our bus wasnt leaving until 2am the following morning, we told the owner this the day before and he said that was fine so we presumed we could hang around until 12 at night. We got back to the hostel at about 5 in the afternoon and he didnt say anything, we hung around all evening then suddenly at 10.30pm he came over to us and told us we had to pay a half day rate!! He didnt mention any of this previously, so we kicked up a fuss and his wife said it was ok we didnt have to pay. Very bizzare! This hostel was great, the owners always went out of there way to help us. They even let us wait there until 2am for our bus, and we could use the net the kitchen and showers. Brilliant hostel, it feels like you're staying at a mate's place. The owner picked us up at the bus stop at 4am (we arranged for 3am but the bus was late & he waited!!), & when we finally woke up at 11am he had left breakfast out for us. Beds are comfy & warm, room & hostel is clean, brekky is really good plus they have a flat screen tv & cable. It´s a home away from home. We ended up staying an extra night because we liked it so much here. The owners are really friendly and helpful. The kitchen is amazing - definitely the best we´ve seen in a hostel so far. Beds are very comfy, with real duvets! Living room with flat screen tv and dvds to watch. Wifi works great, and even in the rooms so you can lock up your computer and keep uploading photos.
