5 Great Manager, Great Clean Place to Stay Since New Management
I had a friend of mine tell me about this hostel after an emergency. I met Nicole who was quite charming and helpful. She said she had just taken over the hostel. Since I have been here she has been very very busy trying to get things in order, painting, remodeling, and getting new rules in place. The rooms are clean and have nice furniture, and they have free Wi-Fi and cable, and of course reasonably priced. I would recommend this quaint hostel to anyone coming to Fort Lauderdale who is staying temporarily. Though it appears they had someone in the past that did not know how to manage the hostel, I can assure you that this is the perfect home away from home. I dont normally recommend a hostel but this one I cant help but say something kind about.

4 No problems at all!
I first stayed here in Jan. 2008 (two days pre-cruise and a day post-cruise). At that time, roommate was complaining of bedbugs but no one else in apartment was, only she. I was made to feel very welcome and loved sitting outside with others and chatting! I came back in Jan. 2009 for one night pre-cruise and Jorge (totally awesome manager) came out at 10:45 p.m. to check me in and to give me key to apartment. Room was scrupulously clean, bed was comfy (bunk bed), and everyone was as friendly as can be! Will definitely be staying here in 2010 pre- and post-cruise!

1 BedBug City
First of all i caught over twenty bedbugs in seven days. the bed was an air bed, and the room was cleaned once a week. each time someone moved out of the other private room it took two days to clean or the new person came in and took the old sheets away. cockroaches were very present. The rest of the guest at the hostel were great, friendly, and fun. if you wish to use the ping pong table bring your own balls. my suggestion is skip this place find somewhere without bedbugs because they are not fun.

5 Very Good
I have been staying at this hostel for six months now and there have been no serious problems. And problems that do arise the manager Jorge takes care of it right away. There is no problem here with any sort of bugs -- the hostel is sprayed on a regular basis to prevent problems. The only time the problem slips by is if someone does not tell the manager. Jorge the manager is a great guy who is very fair and honest to everyone who treats him the same way and shows him respect. Everyone staying here now is having a great time. And there has been no problems of any kind.

1 Bugs, Drunks, and Drug Addicts
This place has so much potential, the rooms are decent (looking). The Manager is a decent guy. Great location, over priced for what you get and there are two issues. The first issue with this place is the long term residents (some have been there four years!). Most of these folks have serious drinking and drug abuse problems. Another huge issue is the bedbugs, management's solution is to come up with excuses about why the bugs can't possibly be bedbugs and that because he sprays everyday it must be spiders. The truth of the matter is, they don't want to solve the bug problem and I have never seen them spray. I stayed at the bridge for eight long days, got moved to several different rooms, still the same problem. I checked out and went elsewhere. No apology, just bite scars on my arms! I can not recommend this hostel especially for yacht crew, captains will not hire you if you stay at the Bridge, the bug problem is too much of a concern for the yachting industry. Overall Look elsewhere for lodging in Fort Lauderdale!

1 My worst stay in a hostel
My most negative experience in a hostel for a lot of reasons. The manager booked me a single room, as expressly required, just twenty-five days before my arrival. Three days before the flight he wrote me an e-mail saying it was no more available for me, and asked if a four-people room would be good. Since I had no time to look for an alternative (things that I would have done willingly), I reserved it. At my arrival, the manager was convinced I had no given any confirmation for this alternative options -- there were two mails witnessing it. However, a place in a five-people room (not four) was available for me. The bed was awful and dirty. I had an inflatable mattress, which was terribly noisy and uncomfortable. But, maybe, I was lucky. I am not so sure the regular mattress were free of any living and small creature. Worst of all, the people in the room were not so "selected," as the manager assured me of his own free will. During last night, one of them pissed freely on the floor of the room, and my dress and backpack was highly affected by this undesired bath! You can imagine my shock! I ended my stays in the hostel at 3 a.m. and preferred to spend the remaining hours of night in my car! I highly recommend to avoid this hostel. There are other hostel in the city, which were described as comfortable and decent by other visitors. Just near the hostel, there are also some motels. I had a look at their rooms, when I was tempted to leave the hostel before the end of my stays. Another world!

4 Very nice units, each with living room, kitchen and two bedrooms, safe
I recommend this place to anyone. Jorge, the manager, is very helpful and informative. You don't have to carry around a notebook because there are four computers for free internet access. The other roommates were decent guys and everybody kept the place clean. The location of this place is the best. Shops and eateries all over the place. The bus stop close by makes it very easy to move around to the beach, down town and taking the #1 bus you can even end up in Miami (which I did). I will be back here many times. Jorge and crew, keep up the good work!

5 Fantastic
I stayed at this hostel from march 28th to april 10th. And from the moment I walked in there I felt welcome. The Manager Jorge was very nice and helpful. The room was nice, a lot of space. The pool was clean as were the rooms and the common areas. The people I met were very friendly, like I knew them for years. You must stay at this hostel -- it is great, and close to everything you need.

1 Angry Hot head manager, Bacteria ridden rats nest. Dont go
Warning about the Bridge II Hostel, the manager of this place is a total lunatic hot head, and well known as such at some of the other hostels. The directions here are very obscure, place is rundown, no one at the front desk after 5 p.m. (sometimes earlier). I told them about a small electrical fire in the hallway, they denied it and then started to argue with me about it! What insanity! The pool is just bacteria ridden and disgusting. Bottom line, make this place your last resort if at all.

5 I am a traveler, and have been everywhere! This is the first place in seven years of traveling that became home! The people are irresistible and living conditions are very accommodating. Along with a staff and manager that are second to none! I highly recommend staying here. Get involved and be all in! Guaranteed to be an experience you won't soon forget nor ever wish to.

4 I loved to stay here. Friendly and helpful staff, great people around. Had a four-bed dorm and it was rather an small apartment with separate living-room with tv an fully equipped kitchen and bath. Lockers in the room. two computers with free internet access at the reception. the hostel has a great location. close to bus no. 1 (airport, bus depot) and no. 40 (bus depot and beach, shopping mall) which run frequently. that made it easy to go around. easy to find. located at the crossing highway no. 1 and seventeenth street. a little from the street therefore calm. close to supermarket and fast food stores. possibility to eat outside. has a pool and barbecue supplement. would have liked to stay longer than three nights.

4 Great place, had a really nice time! They even helped me find a job. I liked the rooms, as they are like small apartments with own kitchen, TV, and bath. People really friendly. Great pool to cool off in this Florida heat! Picnic tables, and room to hang out in the garden with music. Staff was very pleasant and cheerful. I'd recommend it to anyone coming here. I will be back again!

4 No problems for me I must admit. Free internet, people at front desk were good. Fooms were awesome -- like a little apartment. Own kitchen/fridge/tv/couches, everything. Well prices as well for what it was. Close to bus and food/supermarket. Good place.
