Very nice units, each with living room, kitchen and two bedrooms, safe
I recommend this place to anyone. Jorge, the manager, is very helpful and informative. You don't have to carry around a notebook because there are four computers for free internet access. The other roommates were decent guys and everybody kept the place clean. The location of this place is the best. Shops and eateries all over the place. The bus stop close by makes it very easy to move around to the beach, down town and taking the #1 bus you can even end up in Miami (which I did). I will be back here many times. Jorge and crew, keep up the good work!

Fantastic
I stayed at this hostel from march 28th to april 10th. And from the moment I walked in there I felt welcome. The Manager Jorge was very nice and helpful. The room was nice, a lot of space. The pool was clean as were the rooms and the common areas. The people I met were very friendly, like I knew them for years. You must stay at this hostel -- it is great, and close to everything you need.

Angry Hot head manager, Bacteria ridden rats nest. Dont go
Warning about the Bridge II Hostel, the manager of this place is a total lunatic hot head, and well known as such at some of the other hostels. The directions here are very obscure, place is rundown, no one at the front desk after 5 p.m. (sometimes earlier). I told them about a small electrical fire in the hallway, they denied it and then started to argue with me about it! What insanity! The pool is just bacteria ridden and disgusting. Bottom line, make this place your last resort if at all.

I am a traveler, and have been everywhere! This is the first place in seven years of traveling that became home! The people are irresistible and living conditions are very accommodating. Along with a staff and manager that are second to none! I highly recommend staying here. Get involved and be all in! Guaranteed to be an experience you won't soon forget nor ever wish to.

I loved to stay here. Friendly and helpful staff, great people around. Had a four-bed dorm and it was rather an small apartment with separate living-room with tv an fully equipped kitchen and bath. Lockers in the room. two computers with free internet access at the reception. the hostel has a great location. close to bus no. 1 (airport, bus depot) and no. 40 (bus depot and beach, shopping mall) which run frequently. that made it easy to go around. easy to find. located at the crossing highway no. 1 and seventeenth street. a little from the street therefore calm. close to supermarket and fast food stores. possibility to eat outside. has a pool and barbecue supplement. would have liked to stay longer than three nights.

Great place, had a really nice time! They even helped me find a job. I liked the rooms, as they are like small apartments with own kitchen, TV, and bath. People really friendly. Great pool to cool off in this Florida heat! Picnic tables, and room to hang out in the garden with music. Staff was very pleasant and cheerful. I'd recommend it to anyone coming here. I will be back again!

No problems for me I must admit. Free internet, people at front desk were good. Fooms were awesome -- like a little apartment. Own kitchen/fridge/tv/couches, everything. Well prices as well for what it was. Close to bus and food/supermarket. Good place.

Do not stay here. My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the Bridge II hostel and were attacked by bed bugs severely. We were both covered with bed bugs from our head to our toes and it even left scars. The owner tried to deny that it was his hostel doing this, he tried to blame it on the buses, but we even found some bugs. Even a friend of ours who we met staying in another room ended up getting bites too. The owner wouldnt even phone a real bug killer. He used Raid, and said he found a candy in the bed covered with bugs. And what did we get for payback for all of this. A free night's stay in a bed bug ridden place. This is the worst hostel in the entire world, never go there.

This is the worst hostel in the world. Don't stay here. We heard a rumour from a friend at another hoslte that this place had bed bugs but it was a while ago that he heard it and told us just to check it out. We called to find out for sure before we went there and the guy in the office told us they had all been taken care of and we had nothing to worry about. He assured us that they would even spray our room before we arrived just to make sure for us. We noticed some bugs when we arrived but figured they were just regular bugs. Then on our second night we found them in one of the beds and decided to look bed bugs up on the internet. Turns out they were there after all. We stayed up all night after that washing everything we had with us, waiting for the office to open in the morning. We killed one of the bugs and showed it to the guy in the morning. At first he tried to deny that it was from our room, suggesting that we had brought the bug with us to get a free stay. Who would do that? Anyway we finally got most of our money back and left but he was very rude about the whole thing, including swearing at us etc. We phoned some pest control places to find out about our things and how to make sure they were clean of bugs. The phone got disconnected and the manager came barging into our room yelling about us calling them. He was concerned that we were calling them for the hostel and that he wouldn't pay for them. We were only concerned about our things, the hostel would be his worry. But we were surprised that he obviously was listening to our phone call, and had the nerve to disconnect it. Shortly after that, he rushed us out of the room. When we asked why, he said he had booked it to someone else and they would be arriving soon. He didn't do anything about the bugs that were obviously still there. I feel bad for who ever stayed in the room after us. Hopefully they noticed the bugs before it was a problem. Its hard to belive that the owners of this place aren't doing anything about this problem. Its so unsanitary to continue putting people in the room. This hostel is very poorly run. Do not stay here.

Pretty darn angry. I made a reservation (name and credit card info) a month in advance of my arrival for me and my friend. We circle around Fort Lauderdale two and a half hours looking for this place. We stopped at a McDonalds and they can't give us directions even though the place is right across the street. Finally after stopping at two other hostels in the area, we get directions. We check in at 10:30 pm and no one is at the front desk. I call the manager (the number posted at the office) and express my concern that he is not living up to his end of the bargain. The manager then starts screaming at me, accusing me of lying to him. I tell him to F*** off and hang up. He then calls back, leaves a sob message about how he found my reservation after all, how he'll come let me in at a different hostel because they were booked. I call back to demand my money back and he refuses. What a jackanape!

Awesome stay in Ft. Lauderdale. Very pleasantly surprised. Our roommates, the manager, and all the guests that I encountered were very friendly. Good parking, great facility. Internet access in office when the office was open, which was pretty much all day till about 9 at night. The beds were comfortable and the apartment had sufficient space for all of us. I would definitely stay here again and again.

Came down to Florida to do some greyhound track medicine. Pretty nice place-- everything as stated in the description although you do need your own computer to use the Internet in your room. Otherwise, there are two computers with Internet access in the office that are available when the office is open. Safe, well-lit neighbourhood. Staff were friendly and welcoming, our 'crew' roommates were great (they did NOT drink all night and were extremely friendly & respectful). Quiet atomsphere even though it was (Canadian) spring break. Full kitchen with cooking pots/pans/utensils/cuttlery. Steps away from major fast-food chains, easily got around by bus to the beach, downtown, and other cities such as Miami. Clean place, did have two small cockroaches but hey, this is Florida. I would come back without any hesitation. Adopt a greyhound!

I have traveled all over the world and found this hostel to be extremely clique-y. It is full of people that work on yachts. They work on boats all day and drink at night. Not very friendly guests. I felt like I was an outcast. Really weird — I don't know how else to describe it. I had better conversations with homeless people on the street. There were some nice people here they were just interested in talking to themselves about themselves. I have never had a travel experience like this before.
