I stayed in this "hotel" in November to early December 2004. They were undergoing renovations and putting in an Internet Cafe at the time. There are gaming machines and a bar attached, and it can be noisy on weekends. Beds were very comfortable and rooms spacious with en suite. The kitchen with laundry room, with a machine and sink, was clean and adequate. The lounge was pleasant, clean and airy; it faces the front street and Spirit of Tasmania terminal. There is a small foot passenger ferry to get to and from the ferry itself, also just opposite. I enjoyed my stay there and returned there before going to Melbourne on the ferry. It is centrally located and tours will collect passengers there if required.
