Hostelz.com Guest Reviews
5  Clean, simple, and good A friend and I stayed here for two nights while traveling around San Pedro -- it was a great place to stay. The staff was nice and welcoming, the bathrooms were clean, our bedroom was clean and colorful (with towels that matched the bedspreads!), the kitchen is available for use. There's a garden with some hammocks in the back, as well as a laundry service and a large sink (in case you want to do your own laundry), as well as a nice big clothesline. Close to the center of town, but a block or so away from the action, which was good for noise purposes. If you're going to San Pedro, this is a winner!  , USA ()
1  Rude and Inconsiderate The problem was the Owner of the hostel came to our room at after 10 p.m. on our first night (I think possibly high or drunk as her eyes were quite glassy and red -- and not in the tired way) and informed us that she was incorrect about us being able to stay three nights in the dorm and it was booked the following day. but instead of upgrading us (as any good business would -- and we have had such occur in South America so it is not just a U.S. way of thinking) she asked us to pay the extra 20USD a night to move to a private room (as everything there is very very expensive already). we informed her we could not afford that and then were informed that we needed to find another place to stay. I was shocked and appalled but we did leave. That morning my friend went out to find another hostel as I packed and then she knocked again (this time at around 9 a.m.) to have us pay here right then! Again I was in shock at her rude, greedy, and inconsiderate business practices.  , USA ()
