Lovely, homey type backpacker accommodation. very friendly and clean -- great kitchen and lounge area! Room was lovely with beds made up and fresh lavender on the pillows!

Bon Accord gave me the warmest welcome in the heart of one of New Zealand's best kept secrets, Akaroa. Friendly, informative staff. Cozy, homely feel. I really enjoyed the free slippers and cookies....yum yum! I had an amazing time swimming with Hector's dolphins...wow! Thank you Cathy and Boots!

The best backpackers in New Zealand. Cathy is so friendly, as is Boots the dog. The rooms are amazing. The doubles have tea, coffee and are warm, too. Dorms are great, with linen included, blankets, hot water bottles and SLIPPERS! Slippers are in every room and washed regularly! We saw them on the line! There is a stream under one part of the hostel, which is lovely too. It's more like a B&B than a backpackers. Go there!

This is the nicest hostel I have ever stayed at! We had the garden room, which is a double, and leads out onto its own garden. The hostel very small and cozy and it's easy to meet people here. The facilities are great, too, with two kitchens, a lounge room and a TV room.
