nice, cheap, and friendly you can find movies in english. staff is very friendly and will help you in any problem you have. the manager is the one to ask about most thing and it's too bad he is not always in the area. overall i will come again. — guy & lya , israel / mexico (2007-06-02)

This is a great place to stay. The staff are very welcoming, they invited me and a friend to have supper with them while we were watching tv in the lounge! Arab hospitality. The manager speaks very good English. I wanted to speak with him, but before anything got done, he asked me what I would like to drink, and presto, Arab coffee! While there with a friend, we asked if they could fix things in our rooms, and they were replaced that night! They even added a satalite for the tv. They're putting a desk in my friend's room so he can study, and they have been very helpful. They have offered to deliver The Jordan Times to our rooms. Trips are included with this place, and it is well located in the city, near shops of every kind, a bookshop is actually connected to the hotel. Not Le Maridian, but definitely worth your money. Great place. — No Name. Posted 10.02.2006 (2006-02-10)

The hotel just changed and I can tell you about the great improvement in everything: welcoming staff, clean rooms and bedrooms, and all services are REALLY included. I was there first in December, and next in March. It is just really worth it NOW, though it was really filthy before. — Seve (2005-04-04)
It's just a horrible place, bad treatment and dirty. — Anonymous (2005-02-18)

The staff here were super friendly and the location couldn't have been better. It is very central to everything in the city. It's only a five-minute walk away from anything you want to visit. — Mary (2004-12-11)
Is this the standard we can expect from other hostels? If so, I'll never stay in one again. — Anonymous (2004-12-09)

We had a great stay. It has been the best hostel we've stayed at during our six months of travelling around Europe. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the place had a great feel to it, along with lots of things to do. I would recommend it to anyone. — Hamza (2004-11-20)

This was probably one of the best hostels I stayed in during my travels! It was very clean and safe, and all the staff were very, very helpful. I ended up staying two extra nights because I enjoyed my time there so much! — Hamza (2004-11-14)

I stayed at this hostel for two nights and I found it okay. I mean, it's a good value and the rooms were fine. — Paula (2004-11-11)

I think for the value this place is great. It is not bad at all,
it's a good place, and I really liked it very much. — Anonymous (2004-11-08)
This was the worst youth hostel experience I've ever had, hands down. I would advise anyone to book elsewhere. We were also let down at the airport — no one came to meet us as we had agreed. The hostel itself is dirty, dingy and poorly lit. The rooms are full of mold and mildew (a problem for people with even the mildest allergies), the beds are clearly unclean, the showers are dirty and without shower curtains. Our toilet was a glorified hole in the floor; you actually had to stand in the toilet to use the sink. Upon arrival, we quickly decided to stay elsewhere. As a courtesy, we offered to pay for the first night, however the hostel staff was quite aggressive in demanding that we pay for two nights. We refused, paid for one night and left. — Anonymous (2004-11-05)
This is probably the worst place I have ever stayed at. I had a "single room with private facilities." The windows had gaping holes, with shards of glass hanging over the headboard of the bed. The toilet was absolutely disgusting. I don't think the linen had been washed. The owner was also rude and unhelpful. I couldn't wait to get out of the place. — Anonymous (2004-10-25)
Horrible! My son stayed here one night and it was so dirty he slept in his clothes. The beds, sheets, and bathrooms were filthy. I made reservations, and my son and I wrote e-mails notifying the staff of my arrival time, and as they did not come to the airport for my son, so also they didn't come for me. I went to a proper hotel for just 10 dollars more. — Gil Leonard (2004-10-21)
A great place? Come on! It is the crappiest place ever, and unbelievably dirty. I admit the beds and sheets are comfortable and clean and fairly new. But the floor in the rooms is filthy, and the stench from the bathrooms is overwhelming. The bathrooms have not been cleaned for ages. They are not only dirty, they are encrusted with dirt. The cleaning staff obviously doesn't go near them. The owner might speak English, but the staff does not. Our query to the staff for help with a tour to the desert castles was met with shrugged shoulders. And for all that you pay double the average price in downtown Amman for very clean hostels. We moved the very next morning. — Cathy (2004-09-27)
I was let down by this hostel. No one arrived at the airport to pick us up as we'd arranged, and when we spent an hour trying to call there was no answer. We arrived in early morning, but had been assured this was no problem. We then had to find another hotel and pay for it, as well as paying for a taxi from the airport. — Pamela (2004-09-07)
