3  Nice place nice family, best chicken sandwich i ever had, nice remote beach, quiet.  , usa ()
4  made me feel like i was home. nice people, they want to make you feel welcome. also food is great. will be back again but not by myself. the people of this poor country is friendly. thinking in retiring here when old.  , italian american ()
5  Excellent, do not miss it This is just the most beautiful place I stayed ever and the family who owns it is so lovely. They have a large yard to relax in the hammocks, there are shared or private bedrooms and also rooms with private or shared baths for very cheap. I climbed the volcano and the forest is just unique, so beautiful. I wanted to stay for two nights and I left after one week. The food also is excellent and fresh made.  , Switzerland ()
5  I stayed here for over a week this past summer and was simply blown away by the hospitality, the great value, the beautiful grounds, the kindest, most loving family who will treat you like one of their own. I have never seen a family more committed to working together and to ensuring that everyone feels welcome and well treated. The food was the best I had anywhere in Nicaragua and the sunsets from their private beach are amazing with views of volcan conception. If you just want to get away from everything and relax, lounge on hammocks, eat great food, hike, horseback ride, swim, visit a waterfall, and learn about Nicarauguan culture from a loving family then this is the place for you! I still think about this place and the Hurtado family often and I truly hope to make it back there soon.  ()
5  We came for a few nights, stayed for more than a week and cried when we left. I have never been made to feel more welcome -- it was like staying with family. The food was excellent (and huge quantities), great value for money, and Maria will prepare whatever you ask if she has the ingredients. They have a beautiful beach behind the hostel, a pet monkey who is well loved, hammocks and library to enable you to just hang out. It's a short walk from where the bus drops you but email ahead and they'll pick you up. The two oldest sons speak English (and will give informal Spanish lessons too if you're keen!). It was the highlight of my four month central american trip. Don't miss it.  ()
5  One of my favorite hostels in the world. Really. Family-run and super laid-back, with beautiful scenery, and most important, lots of hammocks for lounging. It's rustic in the best of ways, and the Hurtado family who own it are incredibly warm and welcoming. I stayed a week, then went back and stayed another. And I still want to go back again!  ()
