The Hostelz.com Review
At Traveller's Cave Pension, we felt a bit skeptical with the state of our dorm door -- instead of a lock, you only had to pull what looked like a fishing wire to enter the room. We then saw how safe it actually was when one of our friends who was staying at another guesthouse was kindly stopped by the owner when she walked through the fore-court toward our dorm.

The staff are friendly and humorous. You can use their internet in the reception for a small per-hour fee. There's no kitchen -- however, the food in the restaurant is great, not to mention the views overlooking Goreme. It's a great start to the day to see the sun shining over the town and the included breakfasts are yummy -- French toast, omelets, traditional Turkish breakfast with loads of bread.

Word of warning -- try not to get a bed that's against the wall. We did and woke up feeling grit in our bed. You can also get an amazing view of both sunrise and sunset by walking up the hill for roughly five minutes. There's a spectacular three-hundred-sixty-degree view.

4 The best thing about this pension is its great views. This place has some very nice cave rooms, although we were placed in a fake-cave room under the reception area, which wasn't quite as nice but we didn't feel like moving since we were only there for two days. The owners are decent, and the facilities are clean. Like probably other places in Cappadocia, they will encourage you to purchase a tour but they weren't pushy to us about it. When we were there in the spring, the guests were almost entirely travelers from Asia speaking their own languages, so it wasn't the most social of atmospheres.
