Stay here! We went to Seymore Narrows which is just north of Campbell River, which, as an aside, is naturally forming whirlpools which I recommend seeing. It's location is not where the sign is, but further north where cars are parked for a hike. It's a nice hike in and worth it for the view. Rather than going south after our hike, we took the less traveled route and stayed north. I highly recommend it, as it's noticeably less urban. Moreover, the lodge in Sayward is great! $45 for a private room with 2 single beds which included a nice breakfast with amazing muffins! The staff is super friendly. For those inclined they have pool, foozball, ping pong, and full out cable tv. Mount Kusam is nearby and can be climbed, we did not have time but it was mentioned by our host. Get out of South Vancouver for a bit and stay in Mount Kusam! — Tom , Canada (2007-08-01)
