Meet cracker people but the place was crawling!!
We went to this hostel after seeing such nice pics on the net. when we arrived the front of house looked really well however when we were showed to our dorm i near had heart failure. the duvet and quilt were stripped so you could see the last maybe hundred people to sleep in that beds drool and slobbers! yuk! and the bunk bed had no ladders. also they felt as though they were going to collapse! the back entry is just left open at night so anyone can pop in and out of hostel! we didnt even need a key! there are four showers that smell like fusty damp crap with bins in them. millions of ants crawling in the sinks! But i must say the people and staff in this hostel make it brilliant music before you hit the town really friendly. so if you dont mind a bit of filth and the odd weirdo maybe lurking about its grand!

I was planning to stay at bambu for a few weeks and ended up staying for half a year. i had an awesome time. The place is beautiful and huge. it's central to the best clubs in perth and close to everything you need. I made loads of really good friends over there and i don't wanna miss it at all.

Awesome place to hang out!
when you enter Bambu you already feel that this is a different place to stay. It's very stylish, all the antiques look fantastic and give the place a special feeling. Especially the kitchen is great, clean, lots of space, same for the front area, where you get to meet everybody. It's very social, you get like a family feeling, makes you feel at home and welcome. Great experience! The staff is very friendly and helpful (with job search). I recommend it very much -- best location and fun!

Definite recommendation!
I planned on staying here for a week and ended up staying two months i loved it so much. Staff are lovely, atmosphere is relaxed, but also a great starting place for nights out! Good location close to all the best night stops and near city centre! spent a year traveling oz and this was by far my favorite hostel i stayed at in that time and i have recommended it to friends!

Stayed here for about a week and was not impressed at all. The place looks great aesthetically, but the AC didn't work in the rooms, the lockers in the rooms were all mixed up, with multiple lockers being opened by the same keys, and there were bugs in the room (and beds). Staff were alright (Natalie is a sweetheart), but the overall experience was underwhelming. Oh yeah, and someone stole my English-Spanish dictionary. WTF?!
